ok 1) to hack off existing floor tiles , 1FT height wall tiles and the cement screed floor.then clean up all the debris on the slab.
ReplyDelete2) apply 1 coat FOSROC part A&B cementitous water proof membrane on the slab and 1FT height up turn. after 2hour then u apply 2nd coat same process.
3) by tomorrow it is dry , then u hv to temporary seal up the existing floor trap hole with cement & sand then when it is dry the u start to fill up water on the slab say about 11/2"height
leave it for 24 hours .
after that you hv to inspect / check whether if there is any water mark at soffit of slab .
if there is no water stain/ mark at the soffit slab then it show no leakage . then u can remove the temporary cement onthe floor trap to discharge the water away.
then u start to cement screed the floor slab then after that start to lay the floor / wall tiles
thanks Wong...i guess u r sort of a interior house professionist? anyway, hope the plumber will know what to do...i will double check with what u hv tipped me... :)

ReplyDeleteOh uh...Claire...looks like it's water seepage problem...quite mah-farn leh! Good luck to your rectification works...make sure the plumber gets to the root of the problem, otherwise you'll suffer recurrences!
ReplyDeleteBTW, I'm also from Ipoh...hehe! ipoh-mali but now located in Shah Alam.
The Wong fella is talking dollars, oophs i mean sense. need major surgery on that leak area. Cost a tiny bomb though. Just make sure the contractor is not laughing all the way to the bank. Get at least 2 quotes before making that 'BAD' (Bank Account Draining) decision.
ReplyDeletetomorrow another plumber is coming.. hope he can do a good job... meanwhile, still using bathroom, hope it wont collapse..
