East Ocean Restaurant in IPOH

FEW days have lapsed since I last blogged...lots of activities going on...very busy weekend..going here and there ... wish a day has more than 24 hours....

My family went to this East Ocean in Menglembu last Friday, supposedly to be a belated Mother Day's dinner, didnt want to join in the crowd during the actual day so we planned to take our mum out only after the so-commercialised Mother's Day....

We had a nice room all to ourselves where we enjoyed the food at our own pace and pleasure.. it was a 8 course dinner but there are only 7 shown here cos the camera lady here forgot to take the Cod Fish Dish.... when I saw the steamed and fried cod fish, my camera was just left aside...

No. 1 dish - lang poon...meaning ?? not sure of meaning but this dish has a few varieties of yummy food..

Shark fin with crab meat...one bowl to a person so dont have to fight for it...

Steamed chicken to be taken with shredded ginger...

Prawns cooked with oatmeal and nuts, if I m not mistaken...nicely coated with honey, I think.
.

Mixed vegetables with macadanian nuts...

Kon Loe mee (stew dried noodles) with shredded meat on top...

the almost empty dishes after a few minutes...

to 'cuci mulut' this pudding was served...best dessert i ever tasted.....

the orange colour is the jackfruit embedded inside the pudding

and this is my beautiful mum with her beloved daughters...oooh...sorry, and one son...
