She's My Mother

This evening it was raining quite heavily, I thought of cooking maggi mee at home. Then mama called me, wanted me to take her out for dinner. Feeling quite reluctantly, I drove over and picked her up... In my mind, I was still thinking of having a quiet meal at home...sigh.....

Anyway, to cut the story short, we went to this Florex restaurant in town, it offers only RM3.80 per dish, no joke... we went in, ordered 5 dishes for 4 of us and it came to only RM27.00..... so cheap la.. With all the nice decorations, beautiful chairs, big stage-like and with the cold grrrrr... air con, it was so worth it.

After dinner, we walked over to The Store shopping complex, holding mama in hand... she just loves shopping eventhough she doesnt buy much. But tonight she bought quite a lot, thanks to the big sale going on....

Later, when I dropped her off at her house, I was so thankful that I took her out. I regretted feeling reluctant earlier... she is my mama, she is in her 70s, how many more decades can I take her out? When she left just now, I could feel she was very happy with tonight's outing eventhough she has spent an amount on her shopping...

And no matter what, I as a daughter, should make her days as happy and wonderful as she wants it to be.... I hope and pray that I will be able to do more than that FOR HER.....

  3. Hi Reanaclaire, A mother is the truest friend we have, when trials heavy and sudden, fall upon us; when adversity takes the place of prosperity; when friends who rejoice with us in our sunshine desert us; when trouble thickens around us, still will she cling to us, and endeavor by her kind precepts and counsels to dissipate the clouds of darkness, and cause peace to return to our hearts.

You living in Perak I notice. I love Ipoh, stayed there in the early 80's at Canning gardens, but hardly home as I was away out of town almost everyday except maybe one or two days.
Had a maid to lookafter as well feed my Doberman.

I still remember in the 70's the first snack bar called ABJ opened. Also used to go dancing at Blue Diamond at Tambun road...stayed there too.
And Ipoh nga choy is out of tis world too.

I still have quite a few relatives there....infact they scattered all over the world too.
You have a pleasant week and keep well, and yes...do spend time with your mom...go over, have coffee with her, listen to her, take her to a movie...
there is no love like a mother's love and presence.
    Lee.

  9. you are right! we never know when our loved ones will leave us. love and do the best you can for your mum, and live with no regrets even after she leave you in future. Thats how my parents always tell me, when my grandma was still alive, but now she is gone. So, cherish your mum! =)
