Lunchie Time

BEFORE AA LEFT FOR CAMPUS, he wanted a simple meal at home, outside food is nice but day in, day out eating outside can makes him yearn for homecooked food, knowing his mum is not that good in cooking, ching chai la, anything also he will "wallop". I asked him what he wanted... he said steamed fish, vegetables and ABC soup will do.... So displayed below were what he requested.. (no laughing please) there were no decorations of any sort... sure lose one if enter contest...


steamed pomfret


stir fried vegetables


foo pei (bean curd skin with fish paste)


ABC soup - pototoes, carrots, tomatoes, big onions, fish balls....


homecooked meal for 4 of us...

  3. 1)wah that not the way to steamed the white pomfret. it should be with soya sause and spring onion and a bit of ginger.
    2) the ABC soup should have used either chicken feet/ pork ribs for boiling the soup not fish ball.but i dont see any potatoes but only the tomatoes and red carrot

  4. haha..yes..i used soya sauce, fish sauce and a bit of sugar and salt.. dint buy spring onions la..
    ABC soup was boiled with kampong chicken and all that were mentioned..hehe..i added in tai tau choy also and my son asked why so sweet? haha.. if got dry scallops, put some in too, and pounded pepper..

  12. Wah..the Foo Pei is my favourite leh. I can gobble up the whole plate. Remember back in the good old days in Ipoh, these use to be a must for my noodles. Even now, mm..when I go back I still gobble the whole plate.

  13. you know, the reason for why the home cooked meal is so yummy is because these are laden with love. so the food no matter how it's cooked will taste delicious and everyone loves their own mom's cooking.
