Ask any Ipoh locals for "Mun Toong fun" (Buntong noodles) and they will answer..."aiyah, that one ah, have to take number one." Yes, true... you have to take number from one ah pek upon entering into the corner shoplot along Yau Tet Shin Street, IPOH... BUT.... no, not now anymore.... I think their business has slow down this one year or so... Ah Pek at the counter does not give number tag anymore... the crowd is still there during the weekends but not weekdays anymore. It is opened in the morning and evening around 6pm or so...

yes.depends on which stall .. some are not so nice...i prefer those fried there and then.. nicer...

ReplyDeletenoodles are fish balls are quite popular in IPOH here.. various types to go together with the different types of noodles such as meehoon, hokkien mee, loe shu fun, lai fun, hakka mee, koay teow.. etc etc...

ReplyDeleteironically, i went to Buntong for the noodles at a house, whereby we still had to wait for a rather long while before being served.
wonder if this is the same one.
yes..this one is a branch and in town.. I dont know the way to buntong.. i tot that one has already closed.. so u know better than me.. :)
