My Modem, My Oxygen!

This is NOT a sponsored post on Maxis. :) .... it is only about me... as usual...

I am going to a remote area soon ... so for the last few days, I was not very happy, I dread going to this remote place, even when it is going to be just three days! Three days is like three weeks to me. Why?
Firstly, of course, I will miss my kids....
Secondly, this is not a tour or somewhere I enjoy going...
Thirdly and the most saddest part is, there is no "oxygen" in that place, (Elin, u r right, no oxgen, how to survive? :(

But this afternoon, she found a solution for me.... (thank u, madam)

Today is the last day of the maxis promotion whereby they give the modem free of charge. And the most wonderful thing is, you can return the modem to them within 7 days IF you do not like it. How about that?

I quickly grabbed it this afternoon, registered myself and taaa...daaaa... I took the modem home!

With this modem, I can "breathe" properly when I go to that remote area... I can surf and surf (i hope i can, please, please!) But I am still waiting for the phone call from the maxis man to tell me that it is being activated. Till now, no sound yet.... hopefully he willl call by tomorrow otherwise I will be anxiously biting my finger nails....... serious!

  8. Modem is portable which is very cool. But the speed is way too slow at times.

  9. Just plug it into the USB drive and try to connect it, Claire. Usually it's activated within 3 hours, you dun need to wait for the phonecall to know whether it is activated or not.

I also use Celcom wireless broadband when I'm on the go. Though the speed is not up to par with streamyx, I guess it is still satisfactory as still can do minor sufing. LOL.. dun expect to stream movies or watch youtube, though, cuz the thing have bandwidth limit. One your limit is finished, your speed will be capped til it's very slow.:P

  12. Hahaha! I know exactly how you feel without an internet connection. If you're so used to have it at the tip of your fingers, it can be terribly crippling when we're left without it. Which is why I have my BlackBerry with me, everywhere I go. I have unlimited internet use on my contract which gives me the chance to surf wherever, and I mean, WHEREVER I go. In this day and age, no internet IS like no O2!!

  13. yay! got broadband! :D (LOL, Y THE HECK AM SO HAPPY?)

am using digi one. last time when dad n i went register for it, d digi guy oso said within 24 hours but then surprisingly after 2 hours, i can actually using it! :D well, d digi guy told me that if surf youtube will be slow, but then i didnt feel that way, sometime it load quicker than when i use streamyx. :p

  30. i have been using this oxygen for almost 2 years. when i shifted to my new home, it was killing me...it makes me feel like riding the roller coaster. up and down. UP means can be very fast at times, DOWN means you cant even login to the Net at all. somehow it's far better than P1...

    ReplyDelete
  31. i feel want to get one of it too.

  37. With havin so much content and articles do you ever run into any issues of plagorism or
copyright infringement? My website has a lot of unique content I've either authored myself
or outsourced but it appears a lot of it is popping it up all over the internet without my agreement.

Do you know any techniques to help reduce content
from being ripped off? I'd truly appreciate it.
