Thomas Cup Frustration!

So Frustrating!! IN the midst of Wong Choon Han's game, TV1 stopped broadcasting it and instead "Here Comes The TV News." aiyohhhh....

I have to turn to tournament software website instead. Astro also one kind, showed Uber cup instead of Thomas. Lol... I am biased, I know. Our girls have practically no chance of winning. Anyway, they have improved a lot since the last time I saw them.

Oh dear, Wong Choon Han lost already.. so now got to depend on the men's doubles and Hafiz.. another sigh... and then.... this wth tv news is still on! apalah!

lee chong wei won

our doubles won..
now waiting for one more player/players to win!

Latest updates: Malaysia lost already... 2-3 to the Japs... going to sleep now.. so disappointing!

  7. Glad your doubles one, Claire. Sorry about the TV cutting in for the news... That happens alot in our country.... We'll be watching something really important --and the TV station will cut in to report something. Drives us crazy!!!!!

Hope you have a great day today.
    Hugs,
    Betsy

  8. I am not hopeful of our Thomas cuppers lah. Just look at the Japs, their fighting spirit , I respect lah. The japs have improved a lot, I guess it time to have back the Look East policy again instead of the boleh here and boleh there

  9. Ya, I agree with Eugene.. Japs have improved a lot this round on. A bit sakit hati watching our Malaysia boleh team fighting till the end still tak boleh jadi!

  12. Msia will play denmark in quarter -finals. I predict a Denmark win of 4-1, with chong wei winning the only singles. Denmarks 2nd and third singles are very good while they have two world class doubles.
Btw, I dunno why BAM keep Hafiz... he really sucks!

  16. Didn't watch...but I followed the comments on Facebook. Many people furious...that ranker 20 something could lose to ranker 200 something!!! Ini memang Malaysia boleh!!! That Choong Hann still around kah? And that Hafiz - All England champ kot! All boleh golong tikar balik kampung goreng ikan masin dah!!! No use beating these dead horses...

  17. It has been so long since we won Thomas Cup (still remember govt declating a day off the next day). Since then, I have not seen any other batch of players who will have fighting spirit as the batch who won the last time...though I was young then, I could still remember shouting and screaming. Players nowadays, hot for 2 days and then dunno what happened. Watch also kek sim.

  19. i'm not really into sport but among all kind of sports Badminton is the only one i really wanted to learn..

  20. The key person is Pak Joo Bong, mastermind. Malaysia still has hope to win Thomas cup, every team has 3 singles and 2 double, but Malaysia has 4 singles ma..the referee..now all the audience should shout "referee Boleh"!!

  21. Frustrated too..but then, it ain't easy. Other teams are improving too.

  22. I don't understand why the world badminton association don't implement the eagle eye like in tennis, they will kill the sport by themselves. Every time I watch the match, the linesman is from the host country, always "purposely" make wrong judgement, it happen in most of the Asia country, sick!!! I like badminton games but I will only watch All England matches.

  23. Let us wait for next round of Thomas cup,,, but then again, do we have the talents to fill the void left by the incumbents,,,

Malaysia VS The Danes, i still believe Danes has the upper hand,,,,dont call me unpatriotic, i am just being realistic,,,,,

It has been 18 years since we kissed the Thomas cup goodbye, dont tell me in these years we dont know what went wrong in our badminton arena,,,,, Park Joo Bong is now with Japan,,,, look at them, i believe Park has all the liberty to do what he thinks is best for the Jap,, may be here the coaches are directed like"you can do that but you cant do that,,,,,,,"
    hahahah,, Kiss and Say Goodbye

  26. If you are supporting a team and if that team doesn't perform to your expectation then it's really heartbreaking.Cheer up..i am sure your team will do well in the future.

  27. not to be pessimistic or anything, how long ago did we hold the Thomas Cup? -.- the malay single shouldn't have stayed in the national shuttlecock team, after all england his performance gone down the drain. disappointing...

so this year, i'm not even hopeful.

  28. Disappointing game by Choon Hann and the second doubles! :(

  29. I know how u and other fans feel..was really mad...only need one point. And they blew it. I hope the coach will not let yesterday's second doubles play...get the reserve doubles (if got reserves) to play. Am sure they will do better. Check out The Star when they interview the 2nd doubles.
