Matta Fair and Credit Cards

After breakfast this morning, AA and I adjourned to PGS (Perak Girls School) hall where the Matta Fair was held. It has been more than a year since I last visited Matta Fair for cheaper tours.

Upon entering we were accosted by marketing credit card officers, some offering free bags, umbrellas, mini massager and what else, I dare not linger longer. But somehow, due to the attractiveness of one certain bank offering RM188 cash back, I was very "tempted....."

How not to resist... after signing up, she gave me a big umbrella and a mini massager.. then if my card is approved, I will get RM188 cash back minus RM50 for government fees, I still have RM138 to spend whatever I want....so.... if I apply for 2 cards, visa and master I have RM276 in my credit card to spend on... call me Kiasu... yes, I signed up liow... anyone of you interested?? Let me know and I recommend this charming lady to you....charming because she really talked until i cham liow...

Ok, coming back to the Matta Fair.. some of the brochures I collected... where are my plans? destinations? No idea actually... all are so super expensive... expensive because not only one person but times 4 persons! LOL..better think over first...

  1. Ya...in your case, 4. In my case, 3. Want to go to travel...not too bad for 1 person, but multiply by 3 or 4...alamak! Better stay at home. Can use to money to do a lot of things - buy this or that for the house, do a bit or renovation...or paint the house. Just go holiday some place near, nice and cheap...

  2. eh...i thought 1st year RM50 government tax not applicable la.

The other day a bank gave me a card. I said dont want coz of the RM50. No point kena tax. 1 or 2 cards enough already. but then the bank told me the 1st yr wont kena.

  4. @Kathy, I think no lor. They charge immediately after the card has been approved. You will see the RM50 in your 1st statement

After 1 year then cancel card lor Claire :P
