I Did It Again, My Poor Babe

After helping my florist friend to settle all the graduation flowers, we packed our stuff and was driving out from the university when my friend suddenly saw a big balloon at the field. She wanted to get down and have a look at what the exhibition was all about at the campus field. She told me that she saw some flowers displaying and wanted to see their prices... hahahaa.. wanted to compare hers and theirs...

Leaving no choice, I parked the car... but on second thoughts, she changed her mind. Too hot to walk, she said... actually it was, I prefer to go home fast... the weather was really burning.

Then I started then engine and slowly reversed my car out... looking left and right... And all of a sudden, I saw another car also reversing out, I quickly changed my gear to "D" and wanted to go back in... TOO LATE!! His car was reversing out quite fast and it Banged onto mine... in fact both of our cars banged at the corners.. A big Sigh could be heard from me!

Got down and saw this... bumper crooked there...

and a gap could be seen.... another sigh..
As for the other driver, his was a big scratch too
and the light has a small crack....
Both of our cars almost the same damage...
Both of us were in the wrong...
Both of us said "never mind" and then "goodbye"...

But my friend was very gracious.. her husband told me to go to his mechanic friend and he insisted on paying him this morning... he didn't want to tell me how much but I think it was less than a hundred.. what do you think?

Since that accident yesterday, I seem to have a phobia in reversing my car today....

  5. That's why they call them accidents. Neither of you intended for this to happen. I have a feeling someone that knows what they are doing were able to pull that gently back into place. When i bumped my back end into another car, I had to have the whole bumper replaced. Cost a little over $500.00, we have $100.00 deductible, insurance paid the $400.and some odd cents, and our son sent me a check to cover that, so I got off pretty easy. LOL Glad yours wasn't anything more serious and no one was hurt.

  6. You may need to pay a couple of thousand. Dismantle the whole bumper get a new one, respray the desired color and then...just kidding not sure myself..haha

  7. Well, not that little, should be more than RM400. I paid RM600 for my damaged front bumper.

  9. I can understand your phobia. Think positive, this just a small price. My car broke down 2 days ago, and I needed to pay RM650 for replacing a "tangki" and battery.

  12. Wow! I can see where you would be afraid to back up now!! So sorry! But I'm so glad no one was hurt! Your friend and her husband were a real help! You made a good decision, if it was reported to insurance, your payments would go up!! My e-mail is on my blog profile, but here it is:

  16. Happened to me once...in school. Reversed out...and felt it was so very hot, so I stopped to adjust the air conditioning in the car. Mana tau, BANG....my colleague's hubby driving and it seemed he has a glass eye, one eye only. Since sama-sama colleague, I did not insist that my car was not moving and just said that we would just settle our own...

  31. Yes, I nderstand this kind of thing, even though kena not serious is very leceh one. And your friend is very kind to pay for you. About the phobia in reversing, trust me, the phobia will soon fade as days go by and you have to drive to run your day-to-day affairs. (I was like that to!)
