Briefly about the how, what, where and when.....
last week my girl and I went over to my mum's place for dinner.... as usual, my mum will cook our favourite dishes and one of them was fried hot dogs or should I say sausages, those mini-sized ones.....
Normally before my mum fry any sausages, she would like to slit some cuts on the sausages so as to make them get cook faster... that is fine... actually............... in fact, it was more than great, the slits in the sausages had helped to save my girl from being "choked" or she would have taken something toxic if she were to eat and swallow this sausage below!

she saw something whitish inside..
Using her fingers, she dug into the sausage...

SHE CONTINUED PULLING.... AND PULLED...
THEN SHE SCREAMED... "MUM!!!! WHAT IS THIS??"
THE PLASTIC THINGY NEVER SEEMED TO END!!!
QUICKLY I TOOK OUT MY HANDPHONE...
AND WHILE SHE PULLED, I SNAPPED....
PULLED... SNAPPED!!!
GOSH!! I SHOULD HAVE VIDEO-ED IT...

I THINK WE WERE IN SHOCK THEN..
GIRL STILL PULLING...UNTIL....
HALF WAY, SHE STOPPED AND SAID
"GROSS MUMMY!!!!"
JUST LOOK AT THAT....
MORE THAN 2 FEET LONG OF PLASTIC STRIPS
INSIDE THE POOR SAUSAGE!!!
TAKE A BETTER LOOK!!
WHAT THE HECKY!!
CAN I SUE THEM FOR MILLIONS??
HOW ON EARTH DID THE PLASTIC GOT IN???
ISN'T THIS A GRUESOME FIND???
We know which shop my mum bought the sausages...
I cannot disclose them here...cos they might sue me for defamation
but if you want to know which shop, you know how to contact me..
Never Never step into that shop again!!!
so its not the commercial brand is it? then i am safe. for now.

Yah some say that plastic makes it more crispy wor and the hawker vendors do it. This is the first time I am actually seeing evidence of this. Or are they trying to fatten up the sausage? It is simply horrible!

Yes, yes...sue...or write a letter and ask for compensation. If refuse to pay, sue! That will teach them a lesson. Too bad not a commercial brand -can ask for a lot more! Enough for a holiday in Sibu. LOL!!
ReplyDeletei hope you kept the bag it came in from. yes, do show the owner of the shop where you bought it from. if not, write to the manufacturer. it's probably due to carelessness that the plastic was left inside the meat.

They will keep selling this kind of Plastic Sausages if no 1 do the report or something, plastic contain chemical mix with food and the food become un-healthy at all :(

OMG, that is really too much, i can accept if it's just a sliver of plastic but not that entire 2 ft long of plastic!! that could be very fatal if we ate that!! you should sue them..

Eh, I think they purposely put the plastic inside to make it more crispy! Because of this, I now seldom buy any fried stuffs.
ReplyDeleteYou could filed a complaint to the Consumer association. They will teach you ways to filed your complaint to the correct authorities.This could be a negligence case.
