Straits Quay, Seri Tanjung Penang

The first time I heard of Straits Quay was from my friend who is residing in Rawang. She asked me whether I have been there, I said I never heard of it... all I know was Clarke Quay in Singapore... hahaha...

Last weekend I went up North, yes, I was in Penang for a night, I have actually thought of going to Alor Star to watch my badminton idols playing LIVE in the stadium! LOL.... But I ended up visiting the latest IN happening in Penang, that is the Straits Quay in Seri Tanjung...

Unfortunately I did not bring along my "camera" ... ended up taking the pictures with my handphone only... blurry... but at least you can see the outline in some photos.. hahahaa....

The entrance to Straits Quay

Before entering....

many shops were not opened yet actually
all high end outlets...

some parts were still under renovation...

but most of the food outlets were opened...
I was fascinated by Charlie Brown

Charlie Brown Cafe

Kids would love this place...

this is the waterfront...
an auction and a high end dinner was taking place..

Anyone care to buy a Yacht??

OK, I was here... as a Visitor only...
Cannot afford to shop here..

But I don't mind digging my pocket for a
Haagen Diaz Banana Split in Bellisa Row..
hehehe...

Some information I extracted from the straitsquay website...

Straits Quay is located in Seri Tanjung Pinang, a 1,000-acre world-class masterplanned waterfront community on Penang’s northeast coast. With its 240-acre Phase 1 near completion, Seri Tanjung Pinang has already established a growing international reputation as Penang’s new ‘Millionaires Row’ with its majestic seafront villas, luxury residences and a vibrant community of locals and expatriates that hail from 12 different countries.
