ReplyDeleteWah, this drama super duper oldies liao... But I like it, it's fun to watch those HK movie stars when they were still so young.
ReplyDeleteI watched this series when I was still in my primary school; standard one or two, I think. Really nostalgic! Mathar, mathar.... I even asked my mom, why they call her "Mathar" (mathar sounds like policeman in Hokkien), lol!!!
ReplyDeleteoh yes yes yes....that was my time lah friend. Still remember that time was still on the black tape type (can remember what it is called, is it VCR?)that we rented from those TVB shop and my whole family will glued to the TV from dinner time right up to mid night almost everyday. Very long episode somemore.

wow!! The Seasons!! this is really almost 20 years ago, haha!! i remember i didn't enjoy the series that time, too length already..
ReplyDeleteI think I have watched this before. :p
ReplyDeleteOh as a kid we have the conception Tang Pic Wan is always the good mother and Lee Heong Kam the evil step mother or mistress just like Wong Fei Hung is the good master and Shek Kin the baddie. It is quite certain on the plot its a stereotype. Have you seen/heard any movies of Tang Pic Wan acted as 'bad' woman?
ReplyDeleteI used to kejar this show those days with my grandma!!!
ReplyDeleteWatch this many years back...... can't remember the story anymore. Very good drama at that time.
ReplyDeleteI watched also, but not every day. I like sai tee (Gallen Lo) very much. He was so thin, young and handsome back then.
ReplyDeletetoo bad i m missing this show tonight!! hey, i dint know many of you are watching this series too!! hahaha....nice la.. old fashioned, slow but nice!!

ReplyDeleteBut nowadays, I prefer to watch more recent TVB shows lah - have you watched Rosy Business, No Regrets and Beyond The Realm Of Conscience? Very nice these 3 shows! Must watch!! Sure you will watch from night till the next morning without sleeping! LOL!
This is one of the most loved TVB dramas of all time. My mom watches it a few times a day, beginning at noon, then at 4pm and until the nightly repeat at 8pm. I sneak-in a few shows myself when time allows ;)
