The Seasons

From Monday till Friday at 8pm till 9pm, I will be glued to the TV watching a very old cantonese TVB series called The Seasons.... I wonder how many of you here have heard of this series.. I remember that this long series was shown in the 1980s.... lol... some of you were not even born yet..... whereas I was in my late 20s.. (I think!)

Anyone watching this series? Shown on Astro channel 305....

The Seasons...

Sam Ku Cheh and Soon Yee...

Mathar (Tang Pic Wan) & Loe Thau...

I like to watch this lady.. not sure of her name though..

This Cantonese series will keep me occupied during the weekdays, again it brings back old memories and I simply love it!!

  6. Once I bumped into actor Loe Thau at the Kowloon's Kai Tak Airport during my 1st trip in 1985! I stared at him and he just smiled back.

That show was very dramatic and nice to watch with their no ending squabbles. That was the show Lo Ka Leung became famous soon after.

So what is next in your must-watch list?

  21. I watched this series when I was still in my primary school; standard one or two, I think. Really nostalgic! Mathar, mathar.... I even asked my mom, why they call her "Mathar" (mathar sounds like policeman in Hokkien), lol!!!

  25. Oh as a kid we have the conception Tang Pic Wan is always the good mother and Lee Heong Kam the evil step mother or mistress just like Wong Fei Hung is the good master and Shek Kin the baddie. It is quite certain on the plot its a stereotype. Have you seen/heard any movies of Tang Pic Wan acted as 'bad' woman?
