Study Phobia

What a long day! I am having another off day and I will post about what I have done today and tomorrow on Sunday!

School holidays is coming to an end... on Monday, it will be like "war zone" again during lunch time... I will have to rush and pick my princess up at the most peak rush hour.... phewww...... I think many of us mommy bloggers will feel the tension rising again once the school starts....

Just now when I was out driving with my kids, we passed by an Open University (Wawasan) for oldies... I mean...er.. adults like me... for those who want to continue their studies regardless of age. My son told me that if I want to study, he will support me when he starts working... AHHHH...

Without thinking I told him, "I have study Phobia now... don't ever ask me to study anymore....."
Too late, I cannot retract back my words... after saying that, I am worried he also have Study Phobia... I shouldn't tell out such discouraging words in front of them... aikksss!!

  3. We don't have any senior universities here. In fact, I have never heard of them. If old people want to study, they have to go with the teenagers and young ones. This school is such a good idea, I wish we had them here. What season is it there, anyway? Is it fall?? Must be the opposite of here. It will be summer here in about a week and all our schools have just gotten out for about three months. We don't have school in the summer.

  10. No, thank you...but it may be good to consider it after retirement - just to keep those brain cells active. A boat not in use may get rusty very fast.

  15. Nothing is impossible, if there is will, there is a way. Although I don't plan for going back to school, I don't think it is that difficult to do on my retirement age.

  23. If I were to go study something I love, I think I can do it but at my own pace. Definitely not interested in getting a degree:D Moreover, I am not the "Study type":D It is okay to be honest with your son. I don't think you have discouraged him a bit. Not everyone like to study and those who don't still can excel in other things.
