Today looks like a moody cloudy Monday here in IPOH.. seriously one...it looks like going to rain anytime now too... the sky knows my mood today, I guess..
What darkens my mood today is partly because of the ASTRO increased rates again... Not because of Lee Chong Wei's defeat that left me in a foul mood but their ever increase of rates again and again is shoving me to consider canceling my subscription once and for all...
For a mini channel and sports, I have to pay RM79 monthly! Ridiculous....
I am not spending much of my time watching Astro anyway.... only when badminton tournament arises... other than that, I am facing this "idiot" box instead... foul mood...
Astro, you are getting it from me today! *move aside*

ReplyDeleteoo this is the exact package i got for my parents in penang. The discovery channel package + sports .. used to be only Rm55 if im not mistaken. Now so expensive already. Sigh

Many unsubscribed after some time because of the rising cost. You can try those 'illegal' ones which require no endless monthly payments. Just pay for the installation and gadget, everything else will be entirely free.

ReplyDeleteHey u can still get to watch the live badminton games from restaurants. I think the money u pay for food and drink still cheaper than paying the monthly bil if u said u don't watch the TV at other time. :)

My side diff story, our package was more than RM150. They offer us with a fix price with RM155 plus free Hua Hee Tai channel...suits my mom and my MIL. They also change to the new HD decoder as well.

unifi is not so nice though... still quite in a bad condition.. not worth it yet. astro is getting costly it is true... but maybe because they got no competition around. unifi need to buck up else no point lor =3

Should just stick with unifi. they have sports channel too... if they dont provide... with the speed of unifi you can also watch sports via online stream ^^

I wanted to cancel mine since last month but was told I signed up a 2 years contract and need to pay RM500 cancellation fees. I did not knew about this contract things because everything done by agent. Sigh! I more year to wait.
