Malaysia Scholarships 2012

This morning we reached the school around 10.30am... we thought that the results would be out then but it was not... we waited in the hall for another 10 minutes or so... meanwhile most of the girls (including parents like me!) were getting more and more excited...

When the teachers came in with the files, some clapping sound could be heard... :)  The waiting game is over... the moment of anticipation for has arrived....
the moment everyone was anxiously waiting for...
a teacher preparing to give out the result slips...
after the results...
All the best to their future undertakings!

Now is the time to check out Malaysia Scholarships offers in the Internet...I heard that the JPA is not offering any more scholarships to SPM holders... am I right?  So far I didn't see any application forms online... I guess we have to rely on these following websites...

The Star Education Fund, Sime Darby, IJM, UEM, Gamuda, Kuok Foundation, KLK, BNM etc etc..... Now it is time for me to crack my head to search for some financial assistance for my girl.... Any more suggestions besides the few as stated on top?

Update as at 28/3/2012
My girl and I are still surfing the Internet for more information and details on scholarships given by certain foundations and big companies.  Earning a single income is quite hard to sponsor her studies in UK or US, if there is no scholarship, I might have to resort to mortgage loan.  But I really hope that I don't have to resort to that, we must pray hard to get a good college or university where she can enjoy her further studies without having to think about financial woes.

  16. There's also Petronas, Shell...ASEAN scholarship...and private universities will give full or partial scholarships to outstanding students.

Kolej Laila Taib (formerly United College Sarawak) in Sibu is absolutely free!!! But you ask the students here, they say it's lousy - of course lah! All the good students get scholarships to go elsewhere, all the richer (and more often than not, better) students would not want to stay back in Sibu...so what do they have left?

For one thing, I can safely say that the majority of the lecturers in our local colleges and unis suck big time - it will all depend on oneself to work hard and learn. Attitude is very important!
