Yesterday When I Was Young...

There are two new things I found out about myself during the past weekend....

One... I cannot drink anything that have the word TEA in them... I thought I was only allergic to Chinese tea but after last Friday stint with the "girls," any type of TEA will not agree with me ....  peach tea ke, ice lemon tea ke, green tea...... etc....   I must remember that!

It is no joke to have a sleepless night.... tossing and turning in bed till my eyes were tired of being "CLOSED!" Now I understand what Insomnia means.... terrible!

Two.... I am confirmed "stamina-less."  Need to confess that my house was left "untouched" for 10 whole days.  So can you imagine... the windows, tables, floor... aiks... it was a BIG relief for me when my guest bloggers did not come into my house...  pheww.....  LOL.....

So... what I did on Sunday left me panting and feeling nausea!  After more than two hours of cleaning and mopping, I nearly wanted to pengsan faint when I reached the kitchen....Immediately I stopped.... I rested.... and I realize that my stamina has long gone...

I finally come to terms that I am not as "young" as I used to be.... anymore.....

  1. No lah...not the tea. You had so much fun, the adrenaline rush... That got you so excited and happy that it was hard for you to unwind and go to sleep...but tea will keep me awake as I will have to wake up many times at night to go to the toilet and ease myself. Tsk! Tsk!

  2. stp: you think so? the excitement? gosh.. like in first time dating? I thought this type of feeling is for the young only... anyway, best to refrain from tea...unless i want to stay up whole night long... tsk.. tsk! :)

  3. When you drink chinese tea try not to soak the tea in the hot water for a long period.. maybe just a 2 mins and then pour out the chinese tea..
if you soak it longer the cafeinne will come out.. try it..

  9. Please don't mind me saying this but maybe it is a good idea to get a medical test done, just to be sure everything is ok or if there needs some attention.
I highly doubt just by drinking tea, you are left sleepless.

  12. I guess it has to do with tolerance. As I age, I find I can drink caffeine up until bedtime and still be able to sleep. But when I was young, I could not.

  13. Nxt time when you can't sleep, try to pop one anti-histamine. It sure can make you sleep like a baby. But don't get addicted ya!

  17. House cleaning wouldn't have to do it all in a day. Try schedule the task and finish it in few days. Else get a temporary cleaner to help you :).

  19. Ok with tea but not coffee. It is a real torture when you cannot sleep. Tossing and turning in bed like a fried fish.

  23. I hate insomnia. Thank Goodness, eversince I learn yoga many years ago, I do not have this problem anymore. May be yoga makes us practise lots of deep breathing that helps soothing our mind.

  25. I dislike tea. And it won't make me stay awake.... I still sleep like a log with caffeine overdose. You stayed awake perhaps due to overjoy?

And 10 stretch days of untouched house, no wonder you were worn out! I will~
