LEE CHONG WEI, YOU ARE OUR WINNER IN THE OLYMPICS 2012!

Oh dear... he was in tears when the flags were hung...  so sad...
He started off so well, so confident... we cheered along with him.. in our houses, in shopping malls, in Facebook.... when he won the first set, our confidence lifted up with him.... during the second set, Lin Dan was the better player and Lee Chong Wei gave the game to him...
3rd set was a Heart-Pumping game... heart wrenching game for us to watch in fact... so near and yet so far... to gain a point is to difficult... LCW has tried his best... we feel for him... He is still our country's hero... hear that...
 Point by point....
Real Mental Stress....
One is in Big smiles..and One is trying to smile....

Lee Chong Wei, Lin Dan and Chen Long
Lin Dan has a winning streak in him...
Dato' Lee Chong Wei, you have tried your very best...
You are still our Country's Hero!!

  1. So sorry for him! He should deserve a gold. Next, he should teach BAM a lesson by retiring. Let those clowns represent malaysia and there will be no more olympics medals. BAM has really neglected the rest for glory. At least in the past, we have rashid, FKK, soon kit, ewe hock, choon hann, tan fook....etc. now malaysia is almost kosong.

  3. chris, no more after this.. he is going to retire, i think... too old for the next olympics already... unless Lin Dan is not playing, then he might have a chance again.. :(

  4. Sorry to hijack your previous post.

Commiserations to LCW, he played well. I'm not sure if you were all informed that when he was on the second set, his area was the 'fast end',i.e. more drift,so when he hits the shuttle he has to have more control. But what to do, have to accept and go.

It will take something spectacular for Malaysia to produce another medal winning Olympian. The sports ministry should go to China, US and UK to see how sports are developed at a young age, and learn & invest in the youth.

  5. It is not easy to make it to the final. How many World No.1 and No.2 in the world.

  6. kash: indeed he has played very well but the winning streak is with Lin Dan who has this control in him.. his mentality strength is very much in control and steady...

xjion: it takes a lot of hard work and discipline to reach this stage..

  20. He did well, and tried his best. All Malaysians can be proud of him even though he did not win...not like the time in China. That was so bad I switched off the tv after a while - couldn't stand watching. So miserable. Too bad he did not get the gold medal...but I guess there will be rewards waiting for him when he comes home.

  21. Why does LCW keep folding his lips like that? Trying not to cry? Anyway, I didn't watch, stopped watching games long time already because (don't shoot me for saying this honestly or if I don't sound patriotic) for sure Malaysia always lose.

Yikes. That hurts. But great game, and great trying, LCW! Sorry no gold bar for you at home, but many waiting fans will cheer you on!
