We stayed in Carlton Hotel, booked through Agoda online. One night cost around $147 without tax when I booked a month ago. The taxi cab driver told me that it cost around $300sg and that I have booked it very cheap through the net. But lately when I logged in again to check the rates, it was already $200usd!
A very nice hotel, I wouldn't mind staying again and again... firstly, it is very near to the shopping centres, such as the Bugis Street, Raffles shopping mall, Marina Bay Sands and the MRT is just opposite... but too bad the rates are not fixed.. it is like share market, you got to log in to check every now and then.. hahaha...

I am not surprised that I would get infected with Covid virus again, I have myself to blame for I did not wear masks ever since I came back ...
Yup, very nice hotel...and SIN$147 is cheap...even though it is very expensive after conversion. Can't complain - for that kind of money, normally you would get some small and lousy hotel in some lousy location. That's why I don't intend to go to Singapore ever again. Can't afford!
ReplyDeleteArthur...it is in usd la ....
ReplyDeleteI like staying in hotel near to shopping centre. Very convenient to do shopping and no need to spend extra on cab. That would save a bit.
ReplyDeleteYes Irene and as long as they r affordable too.
ReplyDeleteVery nice and elegant hotel
ReplyDeleteit's a big and classy hotel. Will consider Carlton Hotel if we go to S'pore, hopefully next year. Travel with with small kids, it is a good idea to stay near shopping complexes with less travelling in public transports needed.
ReplyDeleteBTW, is breakfast provided??

ReplyDeleteWah, you got quite a good deal! S'pore hotels are getting more & more ex. Nevertheless, it can't beat Japan. Hotel prices are sky high there. Can't wait for my trip in early Dec.
ReplyDeleteBreakfast was provided for one person only.. maybe that was why it was cheaper...
