By now Andy is quite familiar with the island already, well, at least with some places of good food. After staying here for few years now, he knows at least 30% on how to go about ... hahaha....(have I mentioned he is poor in directions? Like mother, like son!)
Back to our 3rd morning or should I say 11am brunch time, he led us to Maxim Dim Sum in Sungai Dua...
First time in history...
my son recommended dim sum shop to us...
it was quite crowded...but we managed to find a side table....
the shop is quite big... maybe two shops made into one...
Advertising for Tooth Paste Teeth before food....
Which picture is more qualifying for Tooth Paste Advertisement?
hahahaha...
oopps...why am I like WIB? or MIB?
(Woman in Black)
Our initial orders...
Adding some extras after few minutes....
And that's not all...
There were more to that...no time to take pictures...
Our chopsticks were too busy... LOL...
And the best thing is.....
The bill only came to RM49 something!
So cheap that we came again the next morning to try other varieties...
How was the Dim Sum?
Well, we sure want to come again...
No doubt about that! :)

Food in Penang are cheaper and definitely cheaper than in Kota Kinabalu. Dim Sum for less than RM50.00 is really really cheap.
ReplyDeleteWhah....Claire, u look sexy in big black spectacles :D My gosh....those dimsum makes me drool. Looks too good....mmm. I miss Penang. Sg Dua? That's the place (don't mean the shop...haha) where I had my first dinner the day I arrived Penang. Actually it was very late dinner around 9pm....late huh. The only thing left was roti canai....never heard of before! Didn't know how it look like. I was given a choice of stuff to go with it. Finally chose sugai. My gosh.......how horrible it tasted......haha. But well, after 3 yrs not touching any roti canai, I fell in love with it one day after trying it with curry dhal. Then I had it EVERYDAY for breakfast for a whole year!!! How extreme huh!....haha
ReplyDeletehaiyah, you shld have posed like the picture of the lady of your tshirt:D
ReplyDeleteagnes: cheaper than Ipoh too in this Maxim..
ReplyDeleteMary: Sugai? what is that to go with roti canai?? hahaha.. I also never heard of it.. normally roti canai goes well with curry fish, chicken or dhal. Nowadays I prefer capati and tosai cos healthier.. oil-less.. hehehe..
lena: OK, I do that one day.. hahaa...
Nice? Seems lots of nice eating places there...including one famous Thai restaurant, I think. But far from city lah...cannot go if no car, nobody to bring - taxi in Penang - daylight robbery.
