I told him to get a new one but he quickly said, "NO, NO... This comforter is the best!" Yes, his comforter has been his bedtime companion for more than five years already... ever faithful.. the older it gets, the more comfortable it becomes! hahahaa....
Well... tattered and torn at the sides... I told him to get the needle ready with the thread so that I could have it sewn... (I never had a sewing machine before) but Andy told me that he would like to try hand-sewing it himself... pheww.... how wonder-ful to hear that!
so while he is at work, mum here gets busy with my iPhone...
for me, threading the needle is a chore...
but not for him, he can easily do it...
I taught him the big running stiches..
so that work will be finished fast....
but he didn't listen to me....
to my surprise, his stitches were small and neat....
While I meddled with my pc, he did his sewing quietly...
Sew.... and sew.... and sew.......
till it was all done!!
GOOD JOB, SON!!
and now.... "Can you do that for mama's blanket too???"
After all the sewing had been done,I thought he wouldn't want to see another needle again..
Instead.... he remarked...
"Mom, I think I went into the wrong choice...
I should have taken up sewing instead of engineering....."
*HUH?*
