Tourist Spot Jetty, Penang

First time going into the Chew's Jetty... I didn't know that this is now a tourist spot until my friends told me.... kind of fascinating... some even went there to take wedding pictures!  Wahhh...true or not.. it was so hot actually... oh, remember to wear a hat or take an umbrella when you have park your car... it was scorching hot on that day!
Ok, let's start walking on the plankway....

there are houses along the plankway leading to the jetty....
souvenirs were sold along the way....
Good to help the local people there...
It is an interesting walk if you have never been there before...
Soon the end of the jetty is seen....
the last wooden house....
A faded painting on the wooden house...
I guess the paint has come off due to the sun and rain...
Fishermen's boat....
More are seen here.....
Well, this is about it...
It is not a lover's jetty or bridge...
But it is certainly a nice place to visit if you drop by to Penang... :)

Penang Hokkien Food In Chew Jetty

Good night sleep after a heavy dinner and supper on desserts... the next morning woke up afresh to more Penang food.. this time we went to Sungai Ara for Maxim Dim Sum...
very crowded... but managed to find a small table...
and ordered some small plates of dim sum...
Part of the food we ordered...
well, not so satisfactory... meaning not satisfied with our breakfast...
we then proceeded to.....
Chew Jetty Cafe....
Penang Famous Prawn Noodle?
First time eating here... not sure good or not...
My friend tried the mixed type.... Lor mee cum Prawn mee....
Not sure how tasty but all finished in no time...
As for me, I stick to the original Hokkien mee....
Small portion so I also "walloped" it all...
Good?  er.... well, good enough for me.... not so sure about you.. :)
and next....
we proceeded to the Chew Jetty to take some pictures...

Delicious Desserts And Relaxation At Straits Quay

What was something "missing" after our dip-dip dinner? It is none other than Desserts lo!!  LOL..  So how many have guessed it correctly?    I think there is only one...  :)

After dinner we proceeded to Straits Quay.... one of my friends had not been there before and this place is worth going to especially for first timers...
So here we are... at the ground floor...
More for window shopping for me...
At the center court, two young men were performing....
Not so sure why they were wearing these attire...
Then we proceeded to the dock.... where the yachts were docked...
It was a Full Moon night...
The place was quite transquilizing...

I think I have captured these sights many times before.....
and still continue to do so each time I come by here....
Ok, now the answer to my yesterday's post.... it is here!
Delicious!
Delicious is always crowded... so it seems...
I guess many of us patrons like to come by here for their Delicious Desserts!
Andy ordered his favourite chocolate moist with ice cream....
and a piece of Cheese Cake with Caramel Walnut Toppings!
Well... this is what I called Full Satisfaction!
Love the Desserts Lots!
It is time to take a walk after Desserts...
Hi Snoopy!
.... And a time to Rest and Relax....
....before we called it a Night....

Dip-Dip In Rat Island

Back to the hotel around 5pm and waited for Andy to finish his classes... by the time we got ready for dinner, it was almost 6pm and it was time for Dinner! Andy suggested Rat Island for food .. does it sound appetizing?  LOL... Well,  we three ladies readily agreed... anything goes as long as the food is good!
Pasar Pulau Tikus... Rat Island Market!
LOL...
So what is special here.... Andy?
Lok-Lok... or should I say.. Dip-Dip?
Yes, Lok-Lok as we used to call them during the yester-years...
These were served on the table and all you got to do is to choose
and dip them into the hot boiling water in the middle...
That is why I called it Dip-Dip....
What shall I eat..... hmmmm.....
Different type of sauces to choose from....
At the same time, we ordered Fried Koay Teow...
and ... my favourite drink...
All-In-One....
 Kind of messy, right?
Our dinner was quite cheap...
Only RM28 for the Lok-Lok...
And we were filled to the brim....

Looks like Andy enjoyed his dinner...
We surely did.. but .....
Something is still missing after dinner...
Can you guess what it is?
First Correct answer will get one small souvenir..
hahahaa...
The answer will be in tomorrow's post!!

Monsters' University In Queensbay Mall

"Hey, these pictures taken in England ah?" ... My sister asked me when she saw me "photoshopping" these pictures a moment ago...

Do these pictures look like I am having a nice tea time in a country home?
Care to join me for a cup of tea?  :)
 Taking a ride after tea?
Great.. the bicycle height just nice for me..
I won't fall if I cycle this... will I?
Having a nice and relaxing time after tea and the bicycle ride?

Ok, time to make a move...
Let's go SHOPPING!!

When I was editing these pictures above, I told her that all these pictures were taken in QUEENSBAY MALL, PENANG... not Scotland... England or any country home... LOL... She was very surprised.. she didn't know that Queensbay have these nice background already... Well, I didn't know that either until that moment of time when we were there window shopping...

And talking about shopping, it reminds me of one nice online shopping website which offers a wide selection of products suitable for ladies and men alike.  Well, I guess many have heard of Zalora Malaysia, in fact I have made a few purchases from them already.  Their prices are reasonable and shopping online does indeed saves the hassle of going to the malls, looking for car parking, queuing up for payment etc, etc... Anyway, this depends on individual, as for me, I do both... :)
A small section of the mall was painted for shoppers to take pictures.. :)
I guess Wall Painting is IN everywhere...
Trimming down fats after a heavy lunch!

Shaking our bodies continuously...
and this Shaking Thing cost around RM2,000 +
oooh... better step down...
and continue our walk around the mall....
till we came by here... Monsters University..
for kids, right?
Am I eligible for the Monsters' University?
Yet to be seen... hahahaa.....
Well, this is QUEENSBAY MALL...
Very Happening Place!
