Antalya: A Brief Resort Guide

The Turkish Riviera is a piece of turquoise coast that can be found in the southwest of the country, providing visitors with exceptional climes, incredible beaches and crystal clear seas. Located in the area, holidays in Antalya are perfect for anyone who wants to escape the hustle and bustle of some of the more vibrant resorts, giving visitors a more relaxing environment in which to spend their summer sojourn.

Antalya is heaving with shimmering beaches and delectable eateries that can keep you occupied during your stay, but its appeal doesn’t stop there. History and heritage is rife in the area, with plenty of sites to visit should you wish to spend your time exploring as well as unwinding.

Of course, the resort in which you decide to base yourself for the duration of your stay is an important choice and with various resorts on offer within the Antalya province, you have quite the decision to make. Here’s a brief outline of some of the popular resorts in the area and why they would be a perfect base for your visit.

Lara Beach would be the ideal spot for sunworshippers. From the azure waters to the glistening beaches, if you’re hoping to do very little during your Turkish retreat, this would be the place for you. If your plans are to top up your tan, watch the world go by and recharge your batteries, you’ll be in the right place here.

Side is a quaint fishing village that attracts travellers from all walks of life. Whether you want to spend your days on the beautiful coast, stroll around the cobbled streets of the resort or explore the bounty of museums and ruins in the area, there’s something available for you.

Colakli offers the ultimate in tranquillity. If you plan on playing on the beach with your kids during your stay, Colakli is the perfect resort for you, while a trip to the Manavgat Caves would make an excellent itinerary filler if you can tear yourself away from the golden sands.

Whatever resort suits your personal tastes, an Antalya holiday would be a great way to while away a week or two this summer. Take a look online for some great value vacations this summer.
