There were seven of us and these were what we ordered...
Buttered squids....
Claypot Eggplant
Assam Fish Slices....
The taste ... hmmmm... goes well with rice...
Appetizing....
Steamed 3 types of eggs...
Century eggs, Salted Eggs and the normal type of eggs.. hahahaa....
OK... the question of this post....
What dish is this, can you all guess? :)
One dish was missing on this table...
The greens... I forgot to take a picture of that...
Another Yummy Meal taken ....
But I was not happy with the price though...
It came to RM160... and I feel it was overpriced..
Perhaps it was due to the festive weekend....
Anyway.....
Just for fun again...
Hope you can guess the dish above...
I will choose one among all the correct answers... :)
I will choose one among all the correct answers... :)
Oooooo...your nephew is so slim now!!!! Growing up already, that cute fat boy...now so handsome.
ReplyDeleteRM160, so cheap! So many dishes, so many people...and there were prawns! That one's always the killer!
ReplyDeleteSTP: good morning.. early riser!! Yes, he is very slim now.. grow longer already.. hahaha...
ReplyDeletemana ada prawns.. ???
Now that's an interesting looking dish. I see a lot of herbs and other ingredients in it - must be really delicious. Is it a yam dish?
ReplyDeleteOh...squids! Old man's eyes...need checking liao! LOL!!!
ReplyDeletewah, all very appetising dishes and i LIKE ALL of them lor, can have three bowls of rice ah especially with the assam gravy and the toufu and eggs~~
ReplyDeleteand that unnamed dish?? errr, otak-otak ah??
The fish slices look good. I do not recognize the other one at all, will be anxious to find out!
ReplyDeleteLuckily your nephew is shooting upwards and not expanding sideway. All the food looks so appetising and as for the price I think quite reasonable considering it is CNY time. Want to earn extra. Wild guess is steamed meat with salted veg.
ReplyDeleteOtak otak?
ReplyDeleteYou know wat? If I see all other shops are full or crowded yet this one has empty tables, I wont dare to walk inside thinking surely not nice, otherwise why still empty? haha..
otak-otak?
ReplyDeleteMy wild guess is steamed meat custard.
ReplyDeleteThe buttered squid looks so appetizing!! Slurps.
yes, that's otak-otak and indeed Assam House food is pricey. Remember the one we been in First Garden?
ReplyDeleteClaire I love all the dishes. Looks so good!
ReplyDeleteI guess that dish is call otak-otak!
ReplyDeleteI'm having lots of fun guessing this and that.
ReplyDeletesteamed 3 eggs! my all time favorite! but it's not easy to find a decent one though, some might be too salty as they might over-adding salted egg :(
ReplyDeleteOMG! Those were nice and good looking food!
ReplyDeletestp: you must be thinking of your big head prawns for cooking tonight! hahahaa... yam? hmmmm....
ReplyDeletesk: brain food? hehee..
ginny: a bit difficult for you, sorry dear but u were good the other time.. :)
ReplyDeleteirene: thanks for the wild guess!
merryn: it was not empty.. still got few table left..phew!
ReplyDeleteykristen: hmmmm....
rose: thanks for guessing!
ReplyDeletewenn: oh yeah..that one is assam house hor... no more there, right?
angeline: yeah..I think this is fun.. hahahaa...
ReplyDeleteken: this one is not too bad.. :)
willie: so what's your guess? :)
ReplyDeleteIs this the Assam House that many celebrities went to eat? I think the dish is otak otak too. Good food. On average around 25 per dish after minus rice and drinks for 7 people so consider ok, not too expensive since it is a famous restaurant.
ReplyDeleteMun, Assam House has been around for some years now in Ipoh.. the food is considered not bad.. but a bit pricey perhaps..
ReplyDeleteHave not tried before the steamed 3 types of eggs
