The Mystery Of The Missing Letter

Each time my girl applied for scholarships to respective companies, I would help her to send them out by courier.  I normally use "Fast Post" to courier down the documents and I take granted that they will reach the destinations safely.

But it is not so.....

As I was tidying  up my office drawer during lunch time, I saw the receipts.  Out of curiosity, I logged into their website and keyed in the tracking number one by one.

To my shock and dismay, there was one document that was not delivered successfully!   And that was dated in May this year..... Too late to do anything.... my fault for not checking earlier.... I wonder where the documents has gone to.... I checked the address of the slip, they were written correctly... till today, I do not know why it was not delivered...

One question... Does the courier company inform the sender if the document is not delivered successfully?

Latest Update :
I called up the Pos Laju, it seems that the tracking cannot be done after 3 months from the date of sending.  Since my letter is in May, they already deleted the record online... but the staff on the line checked the tracking number for me, the document was successfully sent and received!

Summary:  Not the Fast Post's fault but mine cos I only tracked it yesterday..... Sorry!!

  1. The effectiveness and efficiency level of malaysian posting system are still questionable lol, documents are often lost and couldn't be retrieved.

  2. I thought if unable to deliver they are supposed to return to sender? I also assume it's delivered if they never returned to me.

  3. huh?? really not delivered or they did not update the status to the system?? hmmm, if you are using the "Fast Post", you have all rights to claim for compensation if the mail is lost.. they are responsible for the delivery and i would say, liable, instead..

  4. Yup, it should be returned if undelivered. That is why I will track right away after sending something and haunt them when something has note been delivered - go to their Facebook page, send email...and here, I would march to their office to demand an explanation.

If poslaju, the charges are so high...so I would expect nothing less than excellence. If they can't provide that, then they should not charge so much!

stp: i am also puzzled.. i better go and rechecked one more time.. and when i am free, i would like to find out more even though it doesn't serve any more purpose now..

  9. Did you have to pay them? You need to get your money back? Maybe use a different courier?

  10. I thought they will automatically return it to you if not delivered. Yes I agree to ask them to find out where it is or claim for non delivery even though it is after so long.

  16. This is interesting topic. Please come back and update us after you made noise with them!!
They are supposed to inform you and return you undelivered stuffs.
I use UPS and Federal Express for my orders from USA. They send me emails to let me keep track and that's very good!
