A New Semester Begins...

My girl is going to her new hostel soon, each year the students are allocated to a new block and the more senior they are, they are given better choice of rooms.  I remember during her foundation year, the room was kind of dreary, cemented floor and bricks on walls.  Then after her foundation, she was given a better room in another block and she decorated her room with these cheery cartoons on the wall.  It brightens up the room giving it a welcoming back look, she feels more at home than in college after pasting up these on her wall.
This side of the wall was pasted with Spongebob by the former tenant...
And she added her favourite Disney cartoon on her side...
Each time she wakes up, this cheery character more or less brightens up her day...

And now she has to give up this room for her juniors.  She is going to register for a new room next week and she told me that she will be getting some cartoon posters again for the dreary walls.  I know what she is going to choose again this time, she is very faithful to her Winnie!
I like these posters on my wall...
My girl will also love these vinyl wall art...
Each day is brightened up with trees and flowers ..
and it looks like spring for the 365 days!  LOL...
For her room, I think this one is cute too
Perhaps I shall get these vinyl wall stickers for her...
She loves anything that is cure and sweet!
Well, as long as she feels comfortable in her room...
I do not mind getting her any posters and stickers...
After all, she is the one going to stay and study there for the next few years....

  2. Nice. Not like my daughter's place in Sg Petani - they destroy everything before leaving, all torn, damaged...and to think those people would go out into society as...teachers!!! So disgraceful! The admin there are absolutely useless. Should do like khidmat negara - check, repair or pay for any damage before allowed to leave.

    1. Yes, if the paint is nice and not in patches... some are left overs from previous years leaving dirty marks on the walls... so covering them with vinyl stickers are fine.. they can easily come out without leaving papers on the walls..

  7. Hmm ... Some decors are good but get her to exercise frequently to release stress. That will help her sleep better.

  11. I have something like that cute pink tree and owls-on-the-trees wallpaper at home, which I bought from Groupon about half a year ago.. I bought three actually: birds chirping on a tree branch, trees with stars and leaves with bird cage.. At one time, very "hing" birds and trees and bird cages, hor? Hehehehe..
