Have been yearning for something sourish and to my delight, there is a stall selling Pangkor Assam Laksa.... without hesitation, I ordered a bowl as my first meal of the day... Yes, it is not healthy at all especially taking it as the first meal of the day... but then cravings.. blame it on my cravings!
I like the laksa soup but not so for the noodles...
Yes, I prefer those smooth and springy type of "Lai Fun" but this one is like those fat flour-y type..
Anyway, I finished the whole bowl because of the soup....
Anyway, I finished the whole bowl because of the soup....
and soon it is time to do some "cleansing".....
On the way back, I stopped by a fruit stall for these.....
4 plus 4 = my Detoxifying drink....
I could get two glasses without any mixture of water....
Drank them immediately after the process....
And I am full now....
Waiting in store for me are the remnants....
I don't mind preparing the drinks....
But washing up is the discouragement for a lazy person like me...
hahahahaa....
Having done all these, it becomes my current post....
Oh yes, i would prefer those springier noodles for my bowl of laksa too! My favorite will be the one at Balik Pulau
ReplyDeleteYes that one in Balik Pulau is also not bad... but recently I ate the one opposite Peng Hwa school is also good!
DeleteI like the drinks, especially it has the green apple inside!!!
ReplyDeleteMust drink it fast before it changes colour.. :)
DeleteYou rendam the fruits in water first? Good practice - they say lots of chemicals sprayed on the outside to keep them from going bad in transit.
ReplyDeleteJust for awhile... I think whatever we eat also got chemical.. sigh.. how much can we avoid..
DeleteGood to do cleansing once a while to get rid of the toxin. After detox, you will feel your whole body very light and stomach, not bloated. I always do my own detox too.
ReplyDeleteActually must do often then only effective... :)
DeleteI nvr did fruit juice myself before, lazy
ReplyDeleteLazy to wash up leh.... right? :)
DeleteHubby & I tried detoxing for a week once & it was so tough cause our diet was just fruits & veggies. Need a lot of determination......
ReplyDeleteYes, I agree... I never really detox... actually must live on fruits and vege for 3 days at least... ! :)
DeleteI am opposite - I prefer floury noodles than springy because I can't seem to chew properly those springy lai fun due to too springy. Hahaha
ReplyDeleteGood for digestion, this floury ones actually..but somehow I still prefer those smooth ones.. hahaha..
DeleteI am lazy to clean the fiber after juicing so I just eat the whole fruits fiber and all. No need to clean.
ReplyDeleteoh... how to eat so much of them? And so dry... hahaha... good la you! If can eat then you are well fibred! hahaha...
DeleteI eat one green apple and one orange everyday without fail. Not so many at one go
DeleteYes, worse than cooking is washing the dishes!!! And it is never done. I am very blessed, whenever I cook, Phil cleans up.
ReplyDeleteSo nice of Phil ! Each has their share of chores.. good planning!
Deleteoh, green apple with orange, that's a nice combination.. ah, sheer enjoyment to have a bowl of delicious laksa and then the two glasses of fresh juice.. until the time for washing up, of course!! haha~~
ReplyDeletehahaha.. they should come out with a blender that doesn't need so many parts to be washed, hor...
DeleteEh ...eat laksa how to detox unless you refer to the toilet type of detox !
ReplyDeleteWhat toilet type??? :)
DeleteThat's the thing, I hate to clean. I thought I want to get a shaker. Make it like smoothie. Everything blend together.
ReplyDeleteSomething like Ice blend mixer then.. but still got parts to wash.. sama juga.. but i prefer with no ice..
