When my friend told me that she would be coming by ETS to Ipoh, a few of us here quickly made some plans... Food Plans! What else.... hahahaa..
Come Friday evening, we gathered at Sun Lee How Fook Restaurant for dinner and it coincided with a birthday for one of my friends... and the dinner was sponsored by one of my friends too! So delightful... hahahaaa.... So we left the ordering of food to the sponsor....
I like this dish!
Ching Loong Choy with crispy sotong...
Bitter Gourd with Meat Ribs...
Beancurd varieties...
Crispy Fried White Mushrooms...
And this dish was very appetizing....
Lots of old ginger... spicy and hot!
Ginger steamed fish with smooth beancurd beneath....
Smooth savoury beancurd that blends well with the fish...
Total bill with rice came to RM117.
Here is the Ice Cream Cake again...
There are two cones here.. one belong to the birthday girl...
And the remaining one was decided by playing...
'LA LA LI TAM BOONG!'
I lost so I didn't get to eat... hahhahaaa...
Someone mentioned that both of us have the samenose shape...
I know I have a Big nose similar to Jacky Chan...
So can you spot the similarity here?
hahahaha...
No time to blog means you got a life, that is a good thing hahaha.
ReplyDeleteWhen you mention Jackie Chan, I won't think about his nose nowadays, I only think about how he say: hui bao zha de!!!
What is hui bao zha de? Mandarin? Me very char de in Mandarin... :)
DeleteYup, mandarin... means "Will explode!" .. He was referring to why he prefer to buy Japanese instead of Chinese for electrical products..
DeleteI suppose you had the cake? Happy birthday to your friend. Gosh!!! The yellow light at the restaurant sure is bad for food photography... I don't like places with this kind of lights, spoils the appearance of the dishes.
ReplyDeleteYeah, but what to do.. .must take also so that can remember what we ate...
DeleteEasy to solve. Get a very good camera as the lighting is suitable for makan not taking photographs! LOL
DeleteJangan marah. Kidding only ;)
I've never seen those sotong thingy.. I thought it's veggies with lots of fried shallots..Oohh yummm, nothing can go wrong with tofu in eggy starchy gravy...Eh I thought its taufu kang, rupanyer fish paste and beancurd, nice also..Big nose=rich ok..
ReplyDeleteBig nose in men then nice la.. in ladies.. macam odd tit tit... hai mai? hahahaa...
DeleteEh darling, my nose is also big ok..
DeleteWhat is appearance anyway.
DeleteWe all have noses what. Hahaha
wah, very nice dishes leh!! i've makan there once before, in a wedding dinner of my ex-colleague, the food taste good.. and i like the first dish, but the crispy sotong only, haha!! the toufu, the mushroom and that beancurd+fish also look superbly delicious lor.. lastly, the cake also lah~~ all nice food for a birthday celebration, awesome!!!
ReplyDeleteAll nice nice means something will become heavier too! Must do more workouts from now on!
DeleteDrool over the ice cream cake! Hahaha
ReplyDeleteThe design is nice but the texture is so so... BR is still nicer.. hahaha..
DeletePity...
DeleteI like BR also. Aiyoh, must go there some day to makan ice cream!
Fish with generous amount of ginger! very cantonese way of doing it, love that!
ReplyDeleteOld ginger is very spicy so must eat with rice...
Deletewah ... so much food. Can finish ?
ReplyDeleteYes, all finished to the brim.. :)
DeleteI truly believe that eating around the table is the best way to fellowship with our friends!!
ReplyDeleteYes, food always bring friends together...
DeleteWhat a nice celebration with great food & company. It sure is an enjoyable night.
ReplyDeleteIt is very rare when we have occasions like this... so it is indeed joyful..
DeleteThe steamed fish with beancurd is very special.
ReplyDeleteIndeed it was... we can also try this dish at home.. .
DeleteThe cake is so unique, like the decorations of ice cream con lying on it!!!
ReplyDeleteMe too... that shows it is an ice cream cake...
DeleteI say, pagi-pagi I already feel hungry looking at all that scrumptious food! Big nose? Looks normal to me :) But I hear that big nose represents money bag - lots of money. Got ah? hee..hee...
ReplyDeletehehehee... Money bag in big nose? Big mouth represent more food going in, right? hahaha..
DeleteHappy Birthday to your friend

DeleteJackie Chan's face has big nose and feng shui experts say that's plenty of wealth. You know better how much $$ you have inside your bank now... more coming your way!
ReplyDeleteThis restaurant has fond memories for me as I had attended several weddings there since small.
