We Love Ipoh Group

I joined a group in Facebook recently, it is called We Love Ipoh, City Of Good Food. The group title itself is so alluring that I could not resist being a member. There are so many places in Ipoh that I haven't "explored" as yet where food is concerned. And coming by to this group, I have come to "profit" so much on exotic food places.   We started off by sharing our Ipoh food places in Facebook and from there, we get to know one another.... So imagine how "foodiehappy" I was when one of the group members invited me to have lunch with them! 

It was on a Friday lunch break when I drove to town for our lunch rendevouz in Yum Yum Restaurant.  Apart from the food, I was looking forward to meeting my new friends who share the same interest as I do...
"The Foodie-holics!"

We ordered the Yum Yum lunch set for Friday....
Siamese Laksa!
Thick santan-ic gravy greeted me.....
More flavourful with lime juice....

And crispy "foo pei" as accompaniment...



 A plate of nasi lemak to go round the table.... 
Looks good... but I didn't try cos I was really Super Full...
Full not just with food...
But with Fun and Laughter!
So Blessed... 
Looking forward to another Foodie Outing withmy New Friends!

      Haha!! Young indeed!! :-) I have been encouraging my mom to use blogs and social media to meet up new people, go for new food and try new things....I think it's a very healthy lifestyle. To have a community that could be an encouragement to one another! Way to go!!

    Wahhhhhh!!!! Facebook group also got meet-up. I did not join any, anyone added me I would just leave the group. Too many shares on my News Feed... some/many not even relevant, say, Sibu/Sarawak food...they post pictures of what they had in Penang/KL/Melaka...or things they cooked at home, did not look nice even. Tsk! Tsk!

    wah, got such a group for all the makan kaki, that is really very cool!! so I guess you have more good food "appreciation" sessions and activities to join.. so the Ipoh Food Mayor is the chairwoman for this group?? haha.. :D

    I also joined a local foodie FB group called Kuching Food Critic. I were also amazed by how many places and food that I have not been and tried in Kuching.

    That was a very good idea to gather and meet more friends. At least you have a common interest ie food! ^^

    I know there is such a group in Penang. So there is such a group in Ipoh too. Good, you can eat more tasty food of Ipoh now and not be able of putting on weight.

    It is so nice to have such a group to gather always. It is so difficult to start our own blogger gatherings in KL. Our jobs and home locations are like 1-2 hours apart.
    The guy in red T-shirt is very familiar to me!!!
