Today's Family And Technology

Most families utilize some sort of technology in their homes. Children of younger and younger ages are carrying around tablets and smartphones. While to some people this may look bad, it's actually a good thing. With technology comes more learning and more connection.
If you stop and take a moment to look into a household you may actually be amazed at all the things the family does with their devices of choice. From staying in touch with distant relatives to order take-out, there is almost no limit to what you can do with television and internet.

A Look At Mom And Technology
Both moms and dads can use technology to keep up with what their children are doing, in many ways. If you have a teen or preteen that is online, you can set up keystroke loggers to keep an eye on who they are talking to and what they are doing online, for their own safety.
Mom probably doesn't spend all of her time online spying on the kids though. She may be using the computer to work from home, she could also be using her tablet in the kitchen to look up the latest recipe she pinned on Pinterest to make a fun new dessert for dinner tonight.

Moms may also spend some time shopping online. She may still spend time watching QVC and ordering the latest fun gadgets from infomercials, but now the internet has opened up a whole new world of shopping delights, and a good mom is sure to take advantage of online deals.

A Look At Kids And Technology
What children so on line can differ between sexes and ages. Older kids may spend their time online talking to friends. If they aren't glued to a laptop talking on Facebook then they are probably glued to their smartphones texting. Some of them Skype, some of them SnapChat.
Both boys and girls enjoy gaming online, and they may prefer online gaming to something like a Playstation. Of course, they need to have that too because it's cool. Most gaming system can go online now as well.
Kids of all ages can spend time online learning or enjoying their friends on social media, but there are also dangers online. That's why it is important for parents to monitor their children's online time, no matter their age.

A Look At Dad And Technology
It's likely dad spends most of his time looking up do it yourself home repair projects online, or maybe watching sports on TV. A father that is a real sports buff is probably happier with a big screen TV and a great surround sound system than worrying about what is on the internet.
Of course, he needs a great TV provider, like number one ranked DirecTV Satellite TV. They have fast service, no interruptions, and no way can dad live without NFL Sunday Ticket! Plus, with good service, dad can watch sports on the go, too.

Not all dads are into sports, but a good TV service means other great channels, like military, history and more. Technology doesn't just help each member of the family do the individual things they love, it also helps them keep in contact with each other. Who hasn't had their child text them from another room in the house?
