Bonding At People's Park Cheong Loi

HAVE WALKER WILL GO!!!

This morning I woke up at around 10am after some staggered sleep during the early dawn.  First thing I logged in was my whatsApp messages and it was good news when I read my group's messages.  Someone suggested going for lunch in a secluded shop in old town and someone was also willing to pick me up!!  YAY!!  I wanna go...... and hop hop again!!

This shop is located in old town inside People's Park... I really couldn't imagine that there is such a stall inside the narrow lane here.

In fact the shop is right at the end of the small shops.....
Right at the very end...
Called Cheong Loi.... *Future*
Bigger version of the signboard...
The last shop here..... the tables were almost full when we arrived around 12pm...
Thanks to my friend who arrived early to book a table for the five of us....
Most of the tables were waiting for food....
Some are prepared food....
The chef behind the crowd....
Another one in front... working without stopping...
My young buddy with her sweet smile....
And one with all grins only.....
Waited almost half hour before the soup arrived... old melon soup...
Then the fresh clams came.... fresh and tasty!
Stewed pork knuckles!
Stir-fried kangkung....
And the best dish was the steamed "Wan Yue"....
We were asked whether we wanted the whole piece or just half...
Of course... The WHOLE piece!!
And for the four dishes with one soup, the bill came to RM67!
Thank you for bringing me for my first meal of the day...
It will last till my dinner time cos I ate so much!!!!

  1. The makan place looks shabby but the food is so good! Usually places like this, no frills no glamour, but can get good food at affordable prices.

  2. Such a lovely place. I would love to go there. These places have character, not like those new, lifeless, pretentious places. Sad that there are not many left now...

  7. wow, indeed a very retro looking place but this place is surely attracting people to dine there, look at the crowd!! and you mentioned the kitchen crew work non-stop and you had to wait for 30 minutes before the dishes started serving.. i see the photos and definitely worth the wait, all looks so delicious~~ :)
