On the second evening of our stay in Penang, we had our dinner at Kirishima, a Japanese restaurant housed within the Cititel Hotel in town. My friend recommended this place, he said it is one of the best Japanese restaurants he has ever tasted... really! And hearing that, we did not have to crack our heads for dinner and since my kids are Japanese food lovers........
And so here we are.... inside a private room nearest to the entrance...
Perhaps special treatment for me in my walker condition? :)
As for the food, we ordered this set....
Something very raw...
I just took a piece and left the others to them...
These came with the set....
Definitely not for me too..... the roes!
Oh MY!!
I am a Real Chinese Auntie...
Must go for rice....
And Sanma Fish or something like that in terriyaki sauce....
Ramen is not to be missed.... Tasty soup....
My girl as usual will order something like that.....
And surprisingly, I like them!
Two pieces and I am good....
That was all for dinner that came to around RM150.00...
Yes, that was about all...
Indeed a very ravishing dinner that leave our tummies fully Full!
My mum just like you. Very Chinese, only eat rice. She never into sushi and raw food anyway.
ReplyDeleteAnd I am like your girl. Order something spectacular and unusual. Haha.
Rose, my mom is like your mom, never into sushi and raw food, she says sushi cold cold, not nice
Deletehahaha.. maybe older adults like me and your moms are like that!! We prefer chinese food anytime!
Deleteaiyo me hunrgy jor/ not yet dinner

Deletethe food looks good!!! and rarely see Ipoh Food Mayor blog about Japanese food like her cousin always do, hehe.. what Chinese Auntie?? the Japanese chahan (fried rice) are usually very good and I also like leh~~
ReplyDeleteOh I didnt blog much about Japanese? My kids love them.. not so much for me...
DeleteI do take some Japanese food, but they must be cooked.
ReplyDeleteOnce awhile I take Sashimi...
DeleteAm not a fan of Japanes/Korean food but my kids love them. Am scared to eat raw things.Anyway, the food looks good.
ReplyDeleteSo we can high 5!!
DeleteYou're like one of my friend, chinese foods, hehe...
ReplyDeleteYour friend around my age gua...
DeleteYour fish looks like a Saba shioyaki though. Not sanma. Hihihi
ReplyDeleteLooks good.
I would've walloped everything! Lol
Oh oh... thank you for enlightening!!
DeleteI agree with Lina as I don't see any teriyaki sauce on the fish so it should be shioyaki (grilled with salt) instead. I like to eat Japanese food too but couldn't eat too often because too expensive for me.
ReplyDeleteOh really? but the fish was a bit sweet...
DeleteThe food looks good and the price is expected to be like that so a good meal! Happy weekend to you!
ReplyDeleteThank you Mun... same to you too!
DeleteGosh!!! I stayed in that hotel so many times but I never got to dine at their Japanese restaurant. When in Penang, it is all about hawker food - so many nice things to eat and enjoy, no time for Japanese...of much else, for that matter.
ReplyDeleteOnly on special occasion.. yes!!
DeleteYummy Jap food :)
ReplyDeleteYou love them I know! :)
DeleteThis type of makan suits me quite well hah..hah... But my parents don't like :(
ReplyDeleteYou are still young, sure like one!! hahaha
