Initially I was kind of hesitant to go out especially in the evening, I guess I have to overcome the dark phobia on the streets in my condition. I just have to be more careful when it comes to stepping on the ground during the dark. Now slowly and slowly each day, I am getting more confident in my steps even though I am still using the clutches/clutch/cane.
When my friend messaged me to go for dinner at Lawan Kuda one evening, I quickly say "Yes, Yes, please come take me!" So nice of this couple who drove all the way from their home and to my house and another forty minutes to this place in Lawan Kuda... aka... Fighting Horse near Gopeng.
This is the shop which we had not been before and all ready to try out...
With ample parking too...
And a Big open area for us to choose our table and seats...
We were the early birds as usual....
And it is nice to have our dinner in open air with the evening clouds looming above us...
As for the dishes.... we ordered aplenty to feed at least five people....
Any kind of Greens is my favourite.....
Oh, what is this called...
In cantonese it is "Tai Cheong".... aka.... Big Intestines?
Anyway, it is like eating sotong... squids...
hahahhaaa...
And this is Lawan Kuda signature dish...
Every shop serves this fish called Snake Head aka Ikan Haruan....
And the remaining pieces to be boiled as herbal wine soup.....
After drinking a bowl or two, I could feel blood rushing to my head...
Really "Geng" one...
The portions are very Big..
More than enough to feed five people, right?
The bill came to RM69....
With that, we feel very satisfied and of course, very SuperFULL!
Thank you, Friends!
haha, and you gallop gallop to lawan kuda!! eih, only RM69 for that 3 dishes and 1 soup, quite economical leh.. also with the big open space to dine, it sure feels more comfortable, don't have to cramp inside small restaurant and feel stuffy..
ReplyDeletethe fish looks good, at first i thought you really eat snake's head!!! OMG~~ :p
hahahaa.Snake Head Fish... wow..that is dangerous...
DeleteI loves everything except the greens, no thank you to petai, lady finger...
ReplyDeletehahahaa... I know... I know...
DeleteI love every single dish. Looks like in between the shoplot to the open space there is a road or is it a small pathway. Meaning they cook in the shop & carry across the road/path to your table in the open space. Nice to have dinner in open space & on another note, eating half way it rains, how leh?
ReplyDeleteYes, they cook inside the shop and carry out to the open space.. not many cars pass by there.
DeleteWahhhhh!!! That one your kereta mewah kah? ;)
ReplyDeleteNO la.. where I can drive! I cannot drive yet... hahahhaa..
DeleteIkan haruan is not a thing in Kuching. Maybe it is indeed the signature dish over there.
ReplyDeleteI kove eating in open air area. Cooler. No need air con or fan. I would eat all except that big intestine dish. Hehe.
Yeah, the big intestine not so healthy.. hahahaa..
DeleteAlamak... You eat and eat already before CNY! Got put on weight or not ?
ReplyDeleteI dare not weigh la!
