A Day Trip From Johor To Kuala Lumpur

WOKE UP EARLY AT 6AM IN JB... The three of us set out at around 7am to make a day trip to Kuala Lumpur from Johor.  On the way we stopped at the Dengkil resthouse to buy some kueh to fill our tummy temporarily.  The journey from Johor to KL nearly took four hours plus to reach the city centre of Kuala Lumpur.  We went through a smart tunnel on the way... first time for me.....
At 11 plus, the traffic was not that bad....
Aaron managed to find this building very easily...

We spent less than half hour there before we proceeded to Batu Caves...
This time we used Waze to lead us there....
Yes, it was time for lunch and we wanted to go Pan Heong!

We ordered their signature Egg Gravy Koay Teow...
RM8 for one person's portion.....
This time we didn't ask for the giant prawns....
The normal type will do....
Their signature meehoon was fried with the stewed pork...
RM22 for two persons' portion....

Two pieces of fish cake....
And steamed croak croak for three persons...
Not sure how much this individual dish cost...
But the whole meal plus drinks cost around RM66...
It was after 2pm when we left Kuala Lumpur...
I have to take turns to drive with Aaron after our heavy lunch...
Heavy tummies and hot sun cause sleepiness!

It is not easy to drive long distance especially under warm sun and full tummy. Kudos to you guys!

  6. Claire, you are a true foodie although your main purpose was to go to Wisma MCA to collect the documents that you left there to be processed the last time you were in KL but you still manage to make it into a makan trip.
