To Gopeng For Good Coffee, Porridge And Chicken

STARTED OFF THE DAY going to Gopeng for brunch.  It is an half hour journey from Ipoh to Gopeng, since we had a late start, we reached Gopeng market around 11.45am.  I was kind of worried that what we wanted would be sold out by then.  Quickly we parked our car nearby and walked quickly to the stall that served our the good food.  Yes, our first meal of the day started off by eating porridge with steamed chicken.  It was my second time there and this round, we waited for nearly half hour before we got our meal served.... one needs to be very patient over here...
Coffee served like this while waiting for the "chicken" to arrive....
The coffee was very "authentic"...
I am not a coffee lover but one sip, I know it is the real one!
Just like the good old days....
As for me, I ordered a bowl of thick barley gingko to cool down...
Half hour later... the porridge and the steamed chicken were served...
It was done meticulously by the elderly man....
Don't rush him, both brother and sister might not like it....
Just sit down patiently and wait to be served...
And one will not regret...
For the plate of chicken with two bowls of porridge, we were charged only RM12!!
This is one of the reason that we must be Very Patient...
hehehehe...
After our brunch, we thought of going back to Ipoh...
Then....somehow... we ended up going this way....
Yes, To Teluk Intan!

  13. Nancy, the teacup and saucer reminds me of how those old men at the coffee shops would pour the coffee onto the saucer to drink. I used to see that when I was a child.
