Temptation seeped in again when someone mentioned that this coffeeshop served the Best Laksa and Ice Kacang in Penang town! Really or not.... ??? Well....... let's go!!
It was a weekday and lunch time was over...
The place looked kind of quiet and "homely-like"....
Don't judge the "environment" by its cover....
Alright, what is good here?
Kek Seng Home Made Durian Ice Cream????
Oh my... Must TRY!!
But first... a bowl of laksa to start off....
No exeggeration... This laksa is perfect for me!
Not so spicy.... and the sourish taste was "ngam ngam hor!"
And now... presenting...
Durian Ice Kacang!!
Just look at the Ice Cream... homemade from Durians.....
Just look at the ingredients from this angle.....
Plus this angle as well......
Alright... enough pictures...
The ice cream is melting by the seconds!
Of course, one must attack the ice cream first...
Eat them slow.... hmmmmm......
And within minutes.... all that's left....
This is what I called Food Satisfaction!
Another banner displayed on the wall...
Next time I would try the Fruit Jelly... plus the Ice Cream of course!
It seems the durian ice cream is for sale too...
One tub in a plastic container cost RM15 if I did not overhear wrongly while I was eating...
Besides Laksa, this shop is also famous for their Hainan Chicken Rice...
Well, Kek Seng coffeeshop will not see the last of Reanaclaire yet....
"I'll Be Back!"
Wow! The ice kacang. Looked alot; such big bowl.
ReplyDeletePlate is more like it.. hahaha
DeleteI just had satay and a whole lot of things so no, I'm not drooling - went to the Ramadhan bazaar for the first time this year.

DeleteI'm drooling just looking at your pics. Although this used to be THE coffee shop back in the heydays of the 60s (according to my mum), I've never set food here. Got to give it a try now that I've seen your pics.
ReplyDeleteDo try and let me know your opinion...
