Celebration At CJ Hot Pot, Bandar Baru Ipoh

OUR KIDS ARE ALL GROWN UP and flown away from their nests, leaving the old folks at home. Yes, most of my ex-classmates are in the same boat, with children away, we have all the time in the world to catch up with one another now.  Every now and then, we find an excuse to meet up with one another, apart from celebrating birthdays or someone comes back to Ipoh after a long absence, last night was something different.  She has a Promotion!  And that calls for a Celebration too!!  LOL...

This time we went to CJ Hot Pot, out of our group of seven, only one has been there before.  So naturally the rest of us were also looking forward to trying this new place in Bandar Baru Medan on the way to Ipoh Garden East.  Our rendevous started around 7.30pm and by that time, the seven of us were like hungry horses... LOL...
CJ Hot Pot...
CJ if not mistaken, it stands for Chan Jie.. *Sister Chan*
Famous for her Hot Pot treasures!
We ordered the normal one which comes with Fish, vegetables, beancurd, yam among others...
Recommended is their Black Beer Spareribs...
Yes, they were indeed very tasty...

Salted Egg Beans...
Their signature beancurd with minced meat as toppings...
Chicken wings with red fermented beancurd...
And their Curry Bread with Prawns....
I like it cos it was not so spicy and the curry was creamy...
Dipping the bread into the curry was very much encouraged.. LOL....
As for the bill, the six of us did not get to see it...
The "Promoted" Lady settled it without allowing us to see it...
After all settled and done, she told us it was around RM160...
Thank you GK for the scrumptious dinner!!
All the Best to you to your new job scope and environment
starting from....
TODAY!

  3. The food sounds like good value to me. Salted egg incorporated in food has been
in vogue but I have yet to try it.

Glad the ladies had a lovely time. Congrats to the lady who has been promoted.
