A Hot Fiery Session At Sawadee Thai, Ipoh

YEARNING FOR SOME THAI FOOD...

During my "absence".. my friends told me that they went to this Sawadee Thai Restaurant at Medan Ipoh to try some of their special dishes.  When I heard Thai food, first thing that came to my mind was the Tom Yum.  I had my share of that too when I was at London Old Street, but of course, the prices and the taste, please do not compare.  So I silently said to myself that once I am back in IPOH, I must "attack" the Thai food to my full satisfaction!

One fine evening, my friends came to fetch me and off we went to Sawadee Thai which I had not been before.  Looking forward to savoring the hot and sourish Tomyum.... but little did I know that it was so Fiery Hot that I could not even finish my own share of the soup!  How could it be?   Yes, I am not a Hot Stuff but so far, I normally takes at least two bowls of Tomyum without any rejection... But I admit Defeat on this particular soup.... *white flag*..... hmmmmm..
I call this ... Super Fiery Tomyum!
I wonder what they put in to make it so fiery HOT...
It was still "burning" in my tummy when the dinner was over...
I better give this a skip the next time...
Even one of my friends were feeling the same like I did...
*Something to do with our age!*
Another sourish dish... I shouldn't have ordered both sourish dishes...
Wrong choice I made....
But on top of that, the mango kerabu would be great if there were more dishes...
Since there were only three of us, we ordered these three dishes only...
Thai Fish Pancakes....
This is the only dish which I could eat without fear of the cilipadi...
And the total bill came to around RM70 for the three dishes...
So much for my cravings for Thai food...
Next time I will stick to the steamed fish Thai style..
Safer for my tongue and all....
LOL....

  8. So next time, must remember to request for lesser hotness for the tom yam. If it is too sour, then I better skip the mango kerabu. Go for milder dishes or else our tummy and tongue will suffer.
