The Tens At East Ocean Restaurant, Menglembu

TWO DAYS UPON RETURNING TO IPOH, I had another scrumptious dinner with my group of ex-classmates!  It was a Get-Together again for the ten of us, good company, great food to enhance the meet-up at East Ocean Restaurant in Menglembu.

We ordered something spectacular this time, thinking that one dish would be enough to go with rice but we were wrong.  The pot of treasure was not enough to feed the ten of us, I guess we were still at a "growing age" where our appetite were at full blast.  LOL.... Never mind our figures, we just wanted more and more to fill our tummies....
The Pot of Treasures aka Poon Choy pre-ordered few days in advance...

The last time I ate this was several years ago at the same restaurant....
Everything seems to be the same except for the Price which has soared up...
Each has a fair share of the goodies on top...
Beneath the goodies are the sea cucumber, mushrooms and some meat....
Nothing really spectacular for the price of RM468...
Another plate of greens with crab meat gravy....
Added one more plate of fried Sang Mee and all of us love the "fragrant" taste of it...
The pudding is not to be missed as well...
This time the pudding was made from Cempedak aka Jackfruit...
A delightful dessert which cannot go wrong...
Total cost RM605...
Who says IPOH food is still cheap?
Next time we know what to order and what's not... LOL....
and now  presenting the Golden Girls...
The Tens.... when one dish was served...
The Five-s when second dish was served...
And The Tens.. when desserts were served....
Lastly... The Ten-s before saying goodnight....
Next round... November!!

  3. Scallops and abalones are spectacular! Why you say they are not? Only about RM60 per person is sure affordable seeing that there are scallops and abalones!
