Well, I am not blaming anyone and I am thankful I have these glorious food to eat during the day. Someone mentioned that the most important meal of the day is our first meal, eat like a King in the morning, if I am not mistaken. Lunch time eat like a prince and dinner like a pauper? Oh, I don't think it works that way for me.... I eat moderately actually... ahemmmm....
On the particular morning at Sin Lean Lee in Old Town, I have to confess that I overfed myself... but it was my first meal... the appetite is just too good in the morning... and these below were just too good to resist. Anyway, the three of us finished them all without a sigh of regret.... cos we know our next meal will be only dinner time.
We went to Old Town Golden Noodles...
Just cockles and egg and the price has gone up to RM5...
I was still thinking of RM3.50... LOL...
I could not resist this too... we called a plate to share...
And another plate of dry version noodles...
A bowl of assorted fish balls...
A bowl of Beef Brisket and tendons...
Share .... Share....
And as if those were not enough, I ordered a Mini Size of this combination....
I could not resist... I wanted to eat....
The portion was just nice....half savory, half sweet....
That explains my 30 inch waist as of now...
LOL.....
I am aim-ing at the assorted fish balls, hehe...
ReplyDeletehahahaha... accurately aimed..
DeleteJust enjoy the food, don't think about your waistline. Once you sister is back in USA then you diet, OK? LOL!
ReplyDeleteThat is a tough task later on... hahahaa
DeleteDont think can find any food below RM5 nowadays, unless "kosong" or totally no ingredients.
ReplyDeleteLove the fried kway teow, the way it wrapped and coated in egg.
Dont think much about the waist size and weigh. Dont know it is age, lately I have very good appetite and eat a lot.
Good appetite and lower metabolism rate too..
DeleteKway teow wrapped in egg, like Sibu one...but the one here, not nice anymore. Yours look so good. I want the fish balls too! Kway teow...and fish ball soup.
ReplyDeleteThat was better during my younger days.. now also so so...
DeleteOh it has been ages since I had the yummylicious char koay teow at Sin Lean Lee. Does it taste as good as u remember it to be?
ReplyDeleteNo, those days much much better.. more heong! hahahaa
DeleteIt is all mouth watering. I have never seen golden noodles!
ReplyDeleteGolden also means expensive.. Ginny!
DeleteP.S. I think you could gain 10 pounds and still look slim!
ReplyDeleteOh really!! hahahaa.. you always say the good things, Ginny! I love that!
DeleteNormally in the morning I don't really have much appetite, wow I super love CCF, slurps especially with the oil and soy sauce
ReplyDeleteWhat is that filling inside the CCF?
The filling is the sengkuang.. :)
DeleteWah! The first and second noodles look so special to me. I wish try these one day.
ReplyDeleteHope you will get to try.. dont go during festive season...
DeleteHohoho, I love those golden noodles. Penang people hate it though, because they like to compare with their char kuay teow. I think both dishes are different style different nature though...
ReplyDeleteGolden to us Ipohians mean little and expensive too! hehehe
Deletetat kueytiau wrapped in egg... thot we had that in Sibu. Nvr mind, bring us there this weekend ok.
ReplyDeleteOK, OK.. but I think crowded!! hahahaa
DeleteGood eats and value for money, too. Bring it on.
ReplyDeleteRight, I will... hahaaa
DeleteAiyo...eat first, sweat out later la...able to eat is a blessing...hahaha me too waist 38 to 30😂
ReplyDeleteWahhhhh... so envious!!
DeleteWah you still go and measure your waist? I gave up measuring my waist a long time ago. All the portions are small only and shared between you all so not that much per person. Now I must go eat the golden egg kway teow, ccf with fillings, and the mix sweet and savoury glutinous rice in Ipoh after seeing your delicious dishes here.
ReplyDeletehahahaha.. I did cos I wanted to do some online shopping and I didn't know my measurements the other day!
