And recently, my sister is so blessed to get to know a Malaysian Methodist Pastor, yes, through the hair stylist.. LOL... They managed to contact each other and met up in church and soon after that, they keep in touch with each other. It feels wonderful to have your "own countrymen" in a foreign land, speak the same kind of lingual and of course, not forgetting the Malaysian Food that they used to talk about and miss... LOL..
We attended the church service one Sunday and yesterday, we were invited to go to the Pastor's house for a light snack before proceeding to Happy Corner restaurant for bonding and fellowship!
Finger food with sparkling wine... Cheers....
Yummy food from Happy Corner...
Sweet sour fish fillets, Beancurd with salted fish,
Fried Hor Fun, bitter melon with chicken,
Minced meat wrapped with fresh lettuce...
With Pastor Gail...
Thank you for the Blessed Lunch, Pastor, Jason and Siew...
We indeed had a wonderful time with the fellowship and "Foodieship!"
How wonderful!! The hair stylist should get extra tips, ha ha!
ReplyDeleteA great fellowship
ReplyDeleteNice. Good to get connected with fellow Malaysian.
ReplyDeleteSweet and sour looks good. I wonder how much one has to pay for a plate like that over there.
ReplyDeleteTotal bill is $40 plus...
DeleteSo nice of the hair stylist. So the pastor is now a pastor of the church there?
ReplyDeleteYes, she is pastor of one of the Methodist churches here...
DeleteIt's nice to meet fellow Malaysians when you are abroad :)
ReplyDeleteI thought the word pastor is used for males only. Is there a word such as pastress? An online search reveals the word pastress means female pastor. Hah, so there is such a word.
ReplyDeleteLove all the dishes you all ordered at Happy Corner, nice fellowship and foodieship, haha
ReplyDeleteI like the last group photo
