Be A Better Version Of Yourself This Year

The sense of fulfilment you feel when you think you are on the right track is second to none (image: https://www.pexels.com/photo/blonde-hair-blur-daylight-environment-214574/)

Fulfillment is defined by the Cambridge Dictionary as “a feeling of happiness because you are doing what you intended to do in life”. It is because of this that knowing that you have accomplished what you intended to in your existence gives you an enormous sense of well-being. Chances are that if you are working on something that is close to your heart, it will take months or even years for you to get to where you want to be, but with a bit of determination, you too could end up being graced by the power of fulfilment.
Have you been working hard and have not yet seen the results that you were expecting? Are you at a point in your life when you are looking for higher meaning but don’t necessarily know where to find it? Is your past holding you back? The lines below will give you a clearer idea of how to find fulfilment this year.
Study
It was Aristotle who said, “the roots of education are bitter, but the fruit is sweet”. This is because studying is no walk in the park. Going back to the books and dedicating time to learning a topic that you might never have had any contact with, is challenging at best. Stress arises from our inability to control our surroundings, and enrolling on a course will mean your anxiety levels will rise just because you have no idea of what your programme will involve. However, it is worth to note that studying increases your likelihood of being employable and as a result, attaining a qualification will bring you closer to you landing the job of your dreams. Love yourself
It is not uncommon for human beings to be too hard on themselves and as a result, others. We all lead busy lives in which we often make mistakes or don’t have the time to dedicate to crucial tasks. However, being too critical of yourself will have a detrimental effect on your mind and body’s wellbeing, and as a result, you should stop treating yourself like your own worst enemy. Accepting who you are and practising kindness will help you feel more at ease in the sometimes challenging journey that is life. Research has shown that loving ourselves makes us happier; start exercising the art of being kind to who you are now.
Love those around you
Similarly, there is very little we can achieve in life if we are not respectful to those around us. By finding our inner peace and then sharing that with our surrounding we will be able to exist in an environment that is rooted in understanding and forgiveness. We never know how long we have on this beautiful planet and we only live once. It is as a result of this that you should approach those you love and tell them just how much they mean to you. Listen to their worries and concerns and spend time with your closest friends. Not only will this action make you feel better about yourself, it will also enable you to build strong bonds for life.
