Her birthday is around the corner and one of my ex-classmates suggested celebrating an early round for the birthday girl. We have to be considerate, right? When the real day comes, she will be celebrating with her own family, hence we have to "book" her a few days before her real date. This time my friend suggested going to Lanna Thai, they have not been here before except for yours truly. I told them that the food plus the price has nothing to shout about but something to shout about is the ambience. And after the meal, they agree with me....
I was the first one to reach there... so I took my time taking these pictures....
It was only 6.15pm when I arrived...
We were supposed to meet at 6.30pm...
So I have lots of time taking these shots right and left....
Front and Back....
Supposed to be a Thai restaurant....
But looks very chinese-sey...
As for the dishes.. we have the stinky beans with prawns...
Steamed Fish Thai Style...
Braised Trotter without bones...
Pandan chicken...
Lemongrass chicken wings...
Tomyam clear soup...
And the bill came to an astonishing RM226...
Birthday girl ...
And the Famous Five..
Sorry, I mean ... the Foodie Five
Happy Birthday to your ex-classmate...

ReplyDeleteHappy birthday to your friend. So nice to be able to meet up with old friends.
Yes, I agree.. instead of Thai..
DeleteDecor looks rather Chinese - I guess that's in line with the season, Chinese New Year coming. Food also looks Chinese, not quite like Thai.
ReplyDeleteYeah, that must be it.. CNY..
DeleteWow, this place is gorgeous! I especially love the square lights combined with the lanterns.
