Sang Choy AKA Lettuce For Chinese New Year

TIME OF THE YEAR AGAIN!!
Seeing this pot of Lettuce means it is the festive season again!!

My friend's agriculture farm is blooming with these beautiful pots Lettuce at this time of the year again, Chinese New Year is just around the corner, in fact just a week away.   Many of us are now very busy in the kitchen or busy doing some last minute shopping at the malls or online.  I know someone is busy doing some last minute buying her clothing online, no time to go visit the malls and secondly, she told me online shopping is cheaper.  But I do not always agree... cos recently I have bought one dress and I have given it away two days ago... Cannot wear at all... LOL...

Oh, back to my pot of Lettuce... I ordered 5 pots of this Pesticide free Lettuce from my friend and many orders have since come in too...  I like this pot of Lettuce cos it is very fresh and sweet too, goes so well with my favourite dish Ju Hu Char!  Last year I bought a few pots too and given them away as gifts... Chinese love this vegetable cos of its name too, it is called Sang Choy and it means "Alive and Active!"  LOL...
No pesticides or chemicals sprayed...
Can eat in Peace...
LOL..

And it can still bloom and bloom...
And my friend's treasures....
Thousands of them!
A very successful harvest indeed!
One pot of this Pesticide free Lettuce cost around RM15
And the price will be higher by next week... I think!
LOL...

  4. Wow, very healthy!! And pretty too. We have lettuce here that looks like this, but it is called Butter Lettuce. Sorry about the dress. I always have to try mine on. Even though it may look good, seems when I actually have it on, not good.
