After the seafood dinner, our adventure began... Looking for our AirBnB in the dark up the mountains was no joke. While driving up the hill using the GPS to lead us to the cottage, the signal went off in the middle of nowhere. No street lights and just the car lights, Aaron managed to maneuver the car safely, yes, credit to the co-pilot beside and two more co-drivers behind the driver himself. As for yours truly, I was snoozing once again after the heavy dinner.... I could hear voices at the back of my mind though but I was feeling kind of confident, I know we could get through this somehow.... I just have to lay back and closed my eyes.... prayerfully!
Yes, we made it to the holiday home in the dark! Upon entering the cottage, we were all mesmerized by the beauty and deco of the cottage called Craigh Na Dun.... someone commented that he would love to stay there for the rest of his life!! LOL... After choosing our own rooms, (there were 3 this time), we refreshed ourselves.... by then I was wide awake and fresh.... and we had a good time relaxing by the fireplace till our eyes could no longer open....
The next morning, someone woke up early and walked around the area... First of all, all of us were thankful that nothing happened the previous night, our cottage was indeed down a slight slope... phewww... next time we better come during the broad daylight and not when it turns dark.... Other than that, the garden and the surrounding area was indeed very beautiful, just like living in a modern farmhouse, with cows, goats and chickens... just around the neighbourhood...
These greeted us in the morning!
Just like in the books Enid Blyton!
Main door leading into the house...
Leading to the living hall...
Living hall...
Master bedroom...
With attached bathroom...
Two rooms similar to this...
And a very big kitchen!
The next morning we walked around the area...
The white cottage is where we stayed for the night...
If opportunity arises, we would like to come here again.. and again!
With Our faithful Red Babe which faithfully carried us around for hundreds of miles....
Wow this is paradise, i would love to stay here for the rest of my life too
ReplyDeleteIndeed a beautiful place; cottage and surrounding.
ReplyDeleteHow nice! You all book a cottage all for yourself instead of staying at a bed and breakfast place. Did you all light up the fire place yourself? Is it an electrical fire place or is it one that requires fire wood?
ReplyDeleteI love the pictures of all of you so happy! This is like a beautiful farmhouse. I especially love the bathroom and kitchen. SO glad you did not have a disastrous wreck!
ReplyDeleteSuch a lovely babe. Your son's car? BMW wor!!!

ReplyDeleteThank God you guys found this place safely in the dark.
I would love to stay there for the rest of my life too! LOL!
