IPOH... Back to where I belong after being away for few months....
Spent a few days trying to settle my "mind" back to the current time, have been waking up at odd hours during the night to watch TV and then dozing off again during the early dawn... During the day, I felt like a zombie and did not have much appetite. My sister followed me back this time and we had each other to keep company with during these "jetlag" moments.
Anyway, we become "normal" again and spent the first few days in Ipoh hunting food and cravings. There is this place which I have not been before, near the Desserts street... oh dear, I forgot to see the actual name of the restaurant. My bad.. I tried googling for it but to no avail. Will try to pass by the shop again to get the name one of these days.....
We had half a chicken for the three of us....
Glass chicken feet... direct translation from Cantonese....
Long time I did not eat these...
Sweet, sourish and spicy due to the chillies...
And fried eggplants which was done perfectly...
Tasted like banana fritters.. LOL...
Nice lunch which cost around RM70 for the 3 of us...
And the jet-lag faces then....
*Now I am back to normal*
I want to try the fried eggplant.
ReplyDeleteHow wonderful that your sister is there now! How long will she be visiting?
ReplyDeleteYou must be feeling good to be back. home sweet home!
ReplyDeleteMaybe you can go google maps and walk around to see the shops, you may see the name. I dropped by your house once but nobody was home. LOL!!!
ReplyDeleteI guess you had people taking care of your house while you were away, doing the cleaning and maintaining and everything. Otherwise, it would be such a chore coming back after being away for so so so long...and so many things waiting to be done.
Back to good local food! I am sure you missed it.
ReplyDeleteYou are home! You must miss ipoh food a lot.
ReplyDeleteI believe it's Restoran Hainam in Jalan Mustapha al Bakri. Unmistakable red table cloth. A bit pricey but air conditioned. Recently renovated. Been there a few time.
