I bought myself a new laptop, my first one after living on this earth for so many years. LOL... When I first started blogging, I used desktop and it was not cheap those days. I remember getting a desktop in the 1990s, the first one was around RM5K or around that price. Big monitor and bulky motherboard. Then my second desktop, I applied for a government loan. I cannot remember how many desktops I have gotten after that...
Fast forward to the early 2000s... when my kids went to college, I got them laptops. At present I am still using my son's laptop which I bought for him when he turned 21. And till today, 10 years later, the laptop is still usable. I heard that laptops normally last around 5-6 years and I am grateful that this Dell is still going strong... except for the starting up, it began to make "heartbeat" sounds. Once the screen is on, the heartbeat sound vanishes. I guess it is telling me that its time is near.....
So... I got myself a new one, just in case, the heartbeats become louder and louder....
Yes, I am still into DELL.... faithful for its durability....
It came yesterday after two weeks of purchase....
My new daily toy... fully utilized most of the day...
Bigger by an inch compared to the old laptop..
Slimmer and lighter overall....
Comes with a laptop bag....
And for this toy, I am poorer by RM1,800+
Oh, I am still using my current old faithful laptop...
Seniors like me takes time to get used to new gadgets, right?

Nice gift to yourself. That price is a good price. Now I use a hp worth about rm600 only to do everything including taking photos and putting them up. Couldn't bring myself to buy any hp above rm600, hahahaha. Lolx!

ReplyDeleteDELL is a good brand. It can type and send whatever that MAC does too. Better save the money and go for travels when the borders re-open lah.

ReplyDeleteI have never got myself a laptop. All I got from given by my hubby. Now I mostly blog from my phone. Once in a while I use pc or notebook to write my posts.
My desktop died on me in year 2019 after using it for 5 years. Currently I am using a Samsung Tablet. But somehow I prefer to use a Desktop.

ReplyDeleteI have not owned a laptop yet. Somehow I prefer desktop. I also use Dell. I went through 3 or 4 already.
ReplyDeleteI use Dell laptop too....for many years, but it is my working laptop from the company, meaning it is not mine. My toy would be Samsung S series which I use to take quality pictures and post to Instagram ;-)
