Fine Dining Dim Sum At Kai Garden

YES, I CALLED IT FINE DINING... cos we were ushered into a room big enough for only three tables.  Thanks to my friends, they really know what to order and I had a good time eating these special Dim Sum I could not find in Ipoh.  Located at the new wing in Marina Square, this restaurant is quite popular, so I heard... naturally reservations have to be made in advance.

Someone caught me smiling happily at the food laid before us....
Let me start with the snacks served upon seating...
Fried yam slices....
So crispy and crunchy that I bought a box home... $19.90
A combination of three types of meat....
I tried them all...
These are so good...
Don't ask me what they are... LOL...
I remember these have truffle toppings....
More dim sum below....
Very nice presentation on this one....

Fried radish...
Their HK styled Chee Cheong Fun....
Eaten with this sweet sourish sauce....
Almost there.... for four of us!!
And the this dish came out last...
By then, I was really really full.....
Anyway, each of us was served this portion...
The way it was done was so impressive...
Oh, desserts was not to be missed...
This is shredded coconut pudding....
On that day, these were on the house....
Father's Day...
Really a fine dining place, right?
Ok, as for the bill....
It came to around $200....
Again, don't convert mentally....
LOL...

  1. 200 sgd is reasonable for people earning in sgd I would think. Food looks so tasty! What is the last noodles dish? Looks like angel hair pasta. Is it lobster meat and cheese gravy?

  2. The three types of meat is such a torture for me to look at now that I cannot eat red meat. Drool! Drool! I wonder if there are a lot of things that I can eat if I go for dim sum here.

  3. Oh, really fancy! And beautiful plating and so yummy looking. I always think it is a sign of a fancy place if they have white tablecloths.
