The Great Wall and Lunch

To continue with yesterday's post about the Great Wall Of China Ipoh, I plucked up my guts and talked to the house owner during lunch time. He was in, a young man of around 30s... I told him who I am and why I wanted to see him. He was quite polite though he said the wall would be there temporary till he moves in and he will demolish it later.... but I adamantly told him that it is not the right procedure, it is not according to specifications (hopefully it is not) and he will not demolish it once he moves in, I said. He just want to stall time, I know...

To cut story short, he said he will tell the contractor to lower the wall by 2 feet.... (what's the difference?) His reason was that he fear the kids next door might kick the ball and get his precious car smashed up (what a lame excuse!)

Well, lets wait Monday, if he is still not taking action or if the wall is still too high, I will contact the local town council and see what can be done...

Ok, back to what I love doing, that is posting my lunch... I was very hungry and I ended up eating this..... thought I couldn't finished the whole plate... but I did .... oh gosh, am I still at a growing age? Surely not! The real truth is..... I am growing sideways instead!

  15. LOL... Claire... I've been wanting to meet you. Actually, the last time you were in KL (during the Sumatran earthquake) I wanted to called you up and meet up with you if you got time. Unfortunately, at that time, I've been struggling to fend off some disaster of my own- *SIGH* moving things from my char- grilled old house to the current one and stuff, and I've dropped dead by the end of the day.

Next time you're in KL, call me up, k? I'd like to meet you. We can have tea or something :-D

  20. If the food is that yummy, I don't mind growing sideways..Or, after I ate a whole plate of that scrumptious looking chicken, I will do my share of exercising.

Thanks for visiting my site. Well, it's not everyday that you will find a nice neighbor, and it just happens that we did this time. I guess, we just need to hold our composure sometimes so we don't put nails on their driveway, hehehe! or we don't let our kids play ball to hit their cars, oppsss...story seems familiar?

Have a great day.. and I hope to see you too on my newest blog..
