No Internet 'n' No Interncourse

Woke up at 7.30am, getting myself ready to go straight to an IT department for an one-day "Open Office" computer course.

At 8am sharp, my handphone rang, my colleague's name blinked... I answered and she asked me to hold on.. another voice took over and since it was unfamiliar, I asked, "Siapa ni?" (who is this?) "So-n-so here...." (chey.. it was my superior)

"Come back to the office, you have to go for a meeting at 11am." But I retaliated saying I was supposed to go for the course. What she answered turned me off.. "If you go for the course, then you come back at 11am.... " HUH??? Go for 3 hours and excused myself? Where got meaning? The course is supposed to be whole day!

Giving me no choice, still fuming and biting my lips (exaggerated), I told her OK, OK.. I'm coming to office now! So sui... shouldn't have answered the call...

Reaching office at 8.15am, she smiled at me when I entered... "kan siew".. . my heart was still fuming, thinking why she must spoilt my day, can't she call another person to go for the meeting meh... after all, mainly not my scope of work... (har tak yau har, bullying me...huhuhu....)

11.30am... yours truly ended up writing minutes in the meeting, mind wandered away, yawning at times... cheeees.. cannot blog hop too cos no Internet connection ...... what an awful day!

  8. Oppp... not very good to blog about boss in the open. Imagine what happen when she sees it.
By I have to encourage you... you are indispensable lah! Even small thing like that also need to call you. But you could have asked her on the phone what you are supposed to do in the meeting and give her your suggestion.

  10. hmm...that's what I called poor management. If a staff is committed to a course and needed to recall back, the organisation will waste on the course fees and also the manpower time taken to register the staff for the course....

  11. chrisau: that is always the problem.. they must go for management course...

    medic007: says who?? :p

  19. In no more time from what I observed from the comments, all of us (including yours truly) would suffer from one common disease called "rectangularis". The sympton is easy to check as it normally starts with the pupil getting rectangular in shape and later if not treated the whole eye would be rectangular.:P Rectangular or square I don't care without internet its hard to bear. Internet "munshui munshui mun mun shui" [long live the internet].
