Are You Breathing?

It was a peaceful and a serene night... With the lights down low in the master bedroom, The Wife watched her favorite Korean show while her husband slept peacefully beside her. She was engrossed with the show and when it ended hours later, she decided to call it a night....

Lying next to her husband, she closed her eyes.... and....then she sensed something amiss. Her husband was sleeping next to her, so quietly, in fact too quiet... Negative thoughts came to her mind... "How come he is not snoring tonight?" She edged closer to her hubby and gave him a slight push.... No response....

In darkness, she continued to fear... fearing for the worst, she shook her husband harder and called him..."Wei!! Wei!!!!"

With that hard push, her husband suddenly sat up with a jolt.... "what.. what...happeneddd??"

Heaving a sigh of relief, she said, "Oh, just want to make sure you are breathing.. go back to sleep la....."

Husband ?????

(This is not a story, it is a real life incident that caught me laughing in stitches... with her permission, I become her story teller tonight :p )

Merryn: why i laughed was that she called and shoved him till he woke up in a jolt.. last time i also checked on my kids when they were sick, make sure.. but not to the extent of making them sit up..

  18. You are really observant!!! My son was not barefoot, but he was almost!! He was wearing flip-flops sandals, so the top of his feet were bare. Sadly for him, he could only stomp out the smaller fires because his feet weren't convered enough. I was uurprised that he didn't go home and change his shoes just so he could stomp out the big fires!!

Much as we may be irritated by those noises, at times they can be such a joy...as they tell us we're alive.
